I bought this cassette randomly as a teen. I played this track so often I'm surprised the tape still works, and I still have eardrums from the level I played it at through my clip-on Sony Walkman. Two of the best purchases I ever made.

BTW, Norman Blake is about the nicest bloke I ever met and you could only imagine the rest of the fellas being the same way given the genius of their music. Great stuff and further reason for Scotland and the UK to be VERY proud . Also Nevermind IS a good album but I've definitely played Bandwagonesque a heel of a lot more in reality.

I finally got to see the Fannies live (touring for Songs From Northern Britain) in 1997 when they opened for Radiohead (touring for OK Computer). Radiohead put on an unbelievable show, but I liked the Fannies better!

One of my favorite bands of all time. If you haven't heard them already then check out Big Star. Amazing power pop from the 70's that never made it as big as they should have been. One of Teenage Fanclub's major influences. You will hear the similarities immediately.
