Kessel could get 40 this year and more, Seguin could in a few years, I don't see how either team didn't get their value. What people don't get is, draft picks aren't a fixed commodity, thats why you saw dominic moore go for a 2nd rnd pick etc. Draft was weak weak weak. But anyways both players Kessel and Seguin will be good if not great players, only difference is that kessel is a KNOWN talent while Seguin still has to go through that developing period.

kessels gonna have an amazing coming season, without anyone to set him up and carry the puck in for most of the season he put up 30 goals and 25 assists. most of his points came after the trade deadline with bozak. but this year the chemistrys already there and he'll play from the start i think he'll score 45 goals, cuz he got a confidence boost a pretty talented center and he got back into his game after the injury. also kessel has one of the if not the best wrist shots in the nhl

Yeah. Savard obviously set him up but clearly someone had to finish those passes. Savard's numbers will dip more than Kessels'. A playmaker also needs a finisher for points. Ask Sundin. He carried that team with no one to finish the sweet passes. Kessel will be a very good, if not great, player for the leafs. Hating the Leafs does not change that.
