To: @nekochocolate1 Tom is there, but it's not that easy to see him. See at 1:25, he's in front, middle. And check 1:29 he's on left, behind Sam Leggett and also a few other times you'll see him on the right side. Near 2:49 he's the one definitely singing the high note at the end of the song.
@cherproperson He said: "こんばんは、私たちのコンサートへようこそ" which in Japanese Romaji is "konbanwa, watashi tachino concert-ne yokoso." It translates to english as "good evening, welcome to our concert."
To be pedantic, the choir do not do 'annual concerts'. There was a concert in October 2005 that you missed(AJ). The Norwood concerts are preview concerts for overseas tours - hence two in 2005 at Norwood.
This was an amazing concert and for a first timer it was superb but Arundel in May was something very special aqnd it is that concert that springs to mind the most.
I have begun to notice that a lot of wonderful groups and individuals have come out of the UK. Declan Galbraith, Angelis, Libera, and Joseph Mcmanners. Keep up the good work UK.
You should buy the DVD. There's a live version of Stay With Me on it, as well as lots of other great songs. There's also a CD of the same performance if you just want the songs.
Not completely accurate. This was the first Libera concert since March 2005 The concert in 2005 wasn't open to the general public, friends and family only.
The TEXAS BOYS CHOIR has an international reputation...support your local performing arts; meaning, invest your time, money and interest at home, to establish a tradition. These brilliant singers didn't just fall out of a tree...they were nurtured at home and in the community.
don't know why you were posting about the texas boys choir, because, although they are a great choir, THIS choir is nutured by Robert Prizeman in Norbury, England! True though, what you said about the singers being nutured at home and in community.
Takes me right back - to the cold, and rain, of the long wait for the doors to open. Then the "black-out" opening - with the back to back solo "Glory to God" and the new "Gloia In Excelcis Deo" - just blew my mind.
The well-known harmonies raised the emotions to even higher spine-shivering moments than the CDs.
Of all this year's UK Libera concerts this will always be the definitive one for me.
Roll on the day that the Saint-Saens "Gloria In Excelcis Deo" is a track on a Libera CD.
Couldn't agree more Kris. Of all the days of 2007 that cold, windy evening in March is the absolute highlight of them all. Hearing the top C at the end of this video sung live really does blow you away, so beautiful.
where's tom cully? i didn't saw him.....:'(

I wonder why Josh was saying his greeting in Japanese? Is St. John's Church in the UK?
cherproperson 2 years ago
I think they had just come back from a Japan Tour, where they probably had all the bits memorized in Japanese.

The beginning titles say it all - 23rd March, 2007. This was their annual St. John's Concert, and they were preparing for their Far East Tour.
