D is the truth; both of his albums are like vintage soul. His music reminds you of the classics like EWF [Earth Wind & Fire], Stevie Wonder, and Marvin Gaye. Amen. D'Angelo got his just due when he was an active performer. However, as time has progressed, he has to be considered one of the best soul singers of the last two decades. His albums resurrected the feel of soul music when other guys were dropping their draws and going pop without any hesitation. Hopefully the scouts will realize that soul music is still hot and start looking for real singers(both male & female) who can serve this genre of music justice.
