They made a big mistake in the movie. Farthen Dur is a dwarven city, yet there are no dwarves in the movie. MAYOR mistake, plus wheres Orik, he plays a gigantic role in the other books...

Katrina which is a not so pivotal character in the first book becomes a BIG deal in Eldest and Brisingr both, she is the focal point of Roran's story and motivations. She doesn't even make a cameo. There is also the fact that Eragon went out for a quest of Revenge. Brom did NOT want to take Eragon straight to the Varden, quite the opposite. Yet in the movie they make a sound rush for it. Lots of points were overlooked, it will cause trouble in the future films because these details were ignored.

They have more to worry about than the complaints already mentioned. As far as the movie goes it has strong points and it has weak points. The weak points are as follows: Angela's Prophecy is all wrong and has a distinct meaning in the book (never mind that she also looks like a fraud w/ how they portrayed her) Solembum was completely cut out and he told Eragon several things that effect events in both Brisingr and the 4th Book likely. Elva is a huge role in Eldest and she was ignored in movie.

I lov this song, it goes well with the story, bu the movie was SO messed up. There are too many things that Fox ruined to put down on this comment, as I would run out of "characters".

i love the book and this song, but the movie is not the best...a lot of things are missing, if they want to do the next book, a lot of things wont be the same, how eragon will be half elf, if Arya looks like a normal human etc...
