the problem is that ive found the problem! even gta san wont work on ur computer because you havent shader models 3.0

well, crysis works fine, fear2 works fine, bioshock works fine, mirrors edge runs fine(that has very good shadows) i downloaded the latest drivers when i got the graphics card and all my other hl2 games work (hl2 garrys mod hl2 deathmatch, counterstrike, day of defeat etc)

You can Download Lost Coast for free if you have the original game, that means a regular steam-account.

As far as I know it is just for PC.

sorry, but that is not the hightest resolution. Maybe your graphic card or screen just dont support higher resolutions than 1600x1200

Lost Coast comes free with HL2. I'm not positive if it comes with JUST Episode 1. (for those who don't know, Half Life 2 and Half Life 2 Episode 1 are 2 different games - the latter being a sequel.)

Honestly, while I agree that no music during a demo could get kinda boring, I'd hold off with the trance untill an actual fight scene or something. IMHO, best music would be some Pink Floyd from the 70's, like Sheep or Shine On or Breathe or something.
