Oh my GOD!!! THIS CLIP IS SOOOOO FABULOUS...what a treasure...thank you merci beaucoup...JACK JONES is my favorite singer of all times...he is definitely underrated...his voice is still remarkable and silky at age 72...check out some of the YouTube vids..Love to all..in music...
Aw, Resendiz, you had to leave the same comments on BOTH copies of this video? You never said WHY Jack is "killing" this song. I love all three of these legends, but Jack is truly the most gifted and most technically accomplished of the three. His voice truly DAZZLED at that age, and the three of them make a fun musical number out of that point. It's all very ENTERTAINING.
sorry, im just a Dean Martin lover, i guess it could have been anybody else nothing against Jack personally, i honestly never heard of him before this vid. Im sure he is great sometimes my bias gets in the way but still i wish dean would have sung this alone.
As for the "technical" singing part, who knows, maybe you are right, but Bennett and Frank were also better than Dean, though thats not what makes me a fan of singejust look at my vids of me singing, that should explain why im a Dean lover!
Haha! Well ... Jack Jones more technically accomplished than Peggy Lee?? I think even Jack himself would blink at that suggestion ! Peggy was ...and still is ..one of Americas Greats , along with Sinatra and Ella . As you say , though , this number was all about entertaining .
@puglet7 In regards to vocal technique, Jack Jones is easily ahead of Dean, Peggy, Frank, Bing, Bennett, etc. He is a bit higher in voice classification than the previous, so his voice naturally carries less richness
than the above male singers (baritones).
In regards to this video, the key is bit too low for Jack, but he is comprimising for Dean and Peggy.
He could also be a bit nervous/overwhelmed by icons. Sinatra was always noticibly in awe of his idol Crosby when they sang together.
Interesting to see the emotional pressure displayed: Martin singing with his nose pressed to Lee, both men standing in constant touch with her, and something like a mimed play during these couple of minutes. I've never seen anything like it. Three singers do things very well. Thank you.
I loooooooove Dean!

Very entertaining. Especially the part where Jack and Dean become bromantic. That's right - bromantic - much to Peggy's consternation.

Yes he was a little out of his depth in this one,AND NEVER REALL MEASURED UP TO THE GREATS HOWEVER HE WAS POSSSED OF A MEASURE OF TALENT...

ahh proof that dean made it look so easy...

It's unlikely. Contrary to popular belief, Dean Martin rarely drank. The boozing and acting tipsy was just a stage image.

I have heard that it was all an act too. Great if it's true. Hilarious even.

If i would try getting that close to a woman while singing i would surely get slapped! Learn from the master!
