The stainless bottles are great for making a stove as are the aluminum bottles. If you want to use the stainless bottle to boil water they have to be thoroughly burned out first The "Coleman" bottle blooms much more easily than the stainless which heat slowly. I made my latest stove with very large copper fittings. I made it with an exchanger to use as a heater more than a cook stove. Works very well.
If anyone is thinking of trying this, get a stainless steel bottle. Aluminum bottles are lined with materials that can release toxic chemicals when heated.

I found the exact same aluminum water bottles (no Coleman logo) at Dollar Tree for $1.00.
