My VG36 was having problem (lower than the stock power) due to oil consumption and still hits 270km (167MPH) (Temp 20 Deg. near see level) after unplugging the speed meter sensor and calculating the speed at engine rev. of: 5300 RPM in the 6th gear. Just to highlight, to do that with your stock altima, you have to change the tire from V-rated (top speed is 240km/h) to W-rated (top speed 260 or 270km/h not sure). The manufacturers always limits their cars speed to the tire rating or vase versa.

It is real, I have 2005 SE. Furthermore, the speed limiter will turn you down at around 250km/h (255 mph), like power shut down, used to go through 160, 170, 180, 190, 200, 210, 220, 230, 240, 250 very easily and, then, STOP no acceleration of course in the fifth gear.

To his defense after bashing the smoothness of his car I did have my needle pegged at 157mph in my ultima just changed the chip to do away with the limiter. nice vid if real. Now just to prove us all wrong do it again with cam in hand and go from road to speedo and back so we can remove all doubt. I can pin 160mph in a very respectable time I will put it up here shortly got to get new cable for camera to pc. just do it again is all everyone is asking. That is way to smooth of a run not even a bump in the road. If you notice that the car was still picking up speed even between the shifts must have been on a DYNO to do this or had the front wheels off the ground no way was this a real run. I have a 2003 it will run 160mhp easily been there done that but this is a fake. You fail badly. I dunno why you guys swear that its fake. Depending on the year, the Altima 3.5 has 245-270hp so gettin to that speed shouldn't be a problem. Not a dyno either cuz you can hear the road noise in the background... My roommates 3.5 doesn't push like this and we don't have any roads that smooth here in Cali either. I don't think the question should be whether it's real or not but whether its stock... And if you've ever ridden in an Altima, you'd know there isn't that much road vibration...
