but great white shark can go in fresh water as well (for a very short amount of time) i heard about the attacks that was reported as a white shark attack in a river in new jersey b4 the 1920's

@temporary1121 The attacks back then are now attributed to a different species...Bull Sharks are pretty much the only shark species that can survive between the different mediums. Great Whites favor cooler to temperate waters and rely on a high energy diet not found in rivers (seals...the high blubber content can sustain Whites more favorably). River mouthes are high activity areas too but more by opportunistic feeders...bulls again.

If you consider their design, they are remarkable animals...and not the mindless killing machines that movies have made them out to be...they're actually quite intelligent and well suited to their purpose.

It's very sad when you think how sharks have done nothing wrong to anybody....and i love white sharks, but i love to see tiger sharks because i live in Florida

@temporary1121 People will ever fear what they don't understand...I've dived extensively with White sharks and even live captured Tigers for a few aquariums...they are magnificent animals...and deserve our respect. Have you seen the movie Shark Water...it will put a spin on sharks and their plight in the finning industry? I feel understanding something is the key to preserving it...when we understand something we can better take care of it for future generations.
