Detail that I just love: When he takes the tape out of the recorder you can see some stuff scribbled on it; when you look at it really closely you can see that it is what the Gallifreyan symbols on the monitor would look like if they were done in scrawly sloppy handwriting. Makes sense that he would scribble things on a tape lable in his native language I guess, but I just love that they gave him such bad handwriting. Just seems right somehow.

5:41- 6:40 = Epic awesomeness. The Doctor goes into total Oncoming Storm mode, and it's one of the great moments where you see just HOW much the Doctor cares for Rose. Moments like that almost (not quite, but almost) make up for the fact that the Doctor never admits that he loves Rose with all of both of his hearts.

You know, it's funny, but this was the episode I felt that Rose stopped being a Companion in the traditional sense and started being a counterpart, almost as if she had adopted the Doctor's mannerisms and upgraded her own capabilities to the point that she was almost a de facto Human version of the Doctor. Of course, she had yet to master her caution, seeing as she got her face sucked off in her first attempt, but it was a good try. Still, I loved her complete self-confidence in this episode.
