  • @usernameindc i dont care if you disagree, but it does bug me when people assume they are right BECAUSE they DONT agree with me. YOU CANNOT disprove peoples beliefs and faiths, just cant be done. Its like trying to prove the Bible is true, its all about faith.

  • you know jamestamz, you had a chance to say something intelligent and you chose to be foul, vulgar and show ignorance. not good.

  • You said, "the God that I believe in..."

Which God do you believe in? Why? Is it the same God as the LDS church teaches, or any other group? You gave your God attributes such as, "would not condone tearing somebody else religion." Where did you get this fact about God from?

  • where do you get your facts about God from? this is really a asinine question. there are no FACTS about God. God is faith and beliefs.

  • You really are a hypocrite, you tell people to be respectful and yet you are calling others names. You're the kind of person who gives Mormons a bad name.

  • @usernameindc thats funny considering i am not a mormon lol. AND i am pretty sure i am only calling names back to those who called me first, DOESNT make it right, BUT i am not mormon so lol really dont care what people think of me, if i did i would never have put a video on youtube ;)

  • Now here is a real Christian... Thank you

  • not always but thank you. i lose my religion every now and then with people lol.

  • well im sure youve never read the bible. if you did you would know that your god is just that way. the bible condones slavery, war, segregation. it favored the jews in the beginning and later the christians. If you dont believe in christ you dont go to heaven. simple. religion=war religion=hate

  • actually i have read the Bible and went to Christian schools all my life. anything else you would like to be wrong about? :)

  • You are one of the most beautiful people i have ever heard. Your opinion on respecting others beliefs is one i wish more people had. It is nice to know that there is someone out there who believes in the same god i do.

  • there is a severe lack of respect for others period in this world right now.

  • Kind and loving, ignorant and stupid.

  • i am guessing you fall into the second group :D

  • havent you all noticed that theres a lot of these mormon haters...... why? do mormons hate? i dont think so....... because mormons obey the commandments like love thy neighbor as thy self..... r u sure ur loving your neighbor as yourselves by hating other religion???? think about it.......

  • all i have to say is the bible compared to the book of mormon the bible has more truth

  • lovethyneighbor..

THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!! you made my day!!!

  • if you may what does the mormon church say about salvation? and in addition where would you say you get credibility from the writings of Joseph Smith? there are loving muslims, hindus, and etc. who when confronted with the gospel reject it and will go to hell although i never tell someone they are going but it is in the bible. love is in our nature but so is the sin that Jesus died for. Joseph Smith was known around town as a fabricator of stories. choose Jesus and the gospel nothing else.

  • how do you know they will go to hell? are you God? and so you are saying you can either choose religion or Jesus but you cant have both?

  • Ask yourself this, What are they like behind closed doors not behind the artifical wall of PR song and dance? Ask yourself also, Moroni on top of Temples, Maybe a Idol? Maybe in this temple you are saving yourself to that Idol hell/heaven/con whatever? "Oh we have statues of jesus on temple grounds" Are they on lower elevation than the golden idol on top of your temple? My 2 cents.

  • yeah well compared to how some of you act in public, what someone does behind closed doors is their business. Catholics have statues in their church, whats your opinion that? they use beads to pray. i mean every religion has something, just dont understand why mine or anyone else's religious choice is up for debate.

  • I appreciate you sticking up for the lds religion and others that believe in god and Jesus Christ. We all can have a special relationship with god no matter what religion we are in. I hear some preach about loving thy neighbor. But don't live that principle. You truly love your neighbor. God bless!

  • yeah well some of my neighbors i want to punch in the face lol! but i dont.

  • God wants us to know the truth. He reveals to us in His Word the truth. And the truth is, is that we are all sinners and we deserve Hell. We cannot earn ourselves to Heaven(ephesians2:8-9). So because we can't save oursleves fromHell Jesus Christ came and died for us. Its a gift. All we have to do is accept it.(ROMANS6:23) To accept and trust Jesus as your Lord and Savior. And believe that he died on the cross for your sins and rose again proving that HE IS GOD.

  • what about the scriptures on how to treat each other?

  • Yes finally someone kind about Mormons!!!!!

  • Nice and eloquent video. Thank you. I believe that all religions are equally irrational because they claim to have "knowledge" about a subject no one possibly can, only speculation. One of my closest friends was raised Mormon and is now a wiccan. I think the Christians tear down Mormonism because it takes away from the focus of the crazy beliefs they have and puts it on others. Personally, I think there is a lot of misogyny in Mormonism and a lot of homophobia, but then again that...cont'd

  • i do not think LDS has anymore homophobia in it than ANY other religion. and God if faith and beliefs, so you cant prove or disprove anything.

i think some so called Christians need to re-evaluate what the word christian means. i really do not believe in religion as much as i believe in God.

  • GOOD grief who knew there were so many miserable people on youtube. I cant understand people who are so busy tearing down a realigion they cant promote how happy theirs makes them. MAYBE they arent happy and that is why they are constantly negative. People who are HAPPY in their religion seldom need to make another one look bad. THEY spend more time making theirs look good.

  • comes with all religions.

Personally, many of the basics of the Mormon faith are so shockingly out there that I have a hard time believing they actually have cultivated such a following. However, we have to look objectively at all religions and see that by those same standards, 72 virgins and immaculate conception are equally outrageous. I like your point about how the god you believe in wouldn't advocate tearing down other religions. You seem to be open-minded, which is great. Thanks.

  • LMAO have you heard of JW? or some pentecostal beliefs? i mean they all have some wacky thing they believe is "gospel" my whole point is that its not our place to decide whose wacky beliefs are right or wrong.

and thanks for being civil. my own religion is to each his own, because when i stand before God he will not ask me about my neighbors business or life he will ask me about mine. and how i chose to represent Him.

  • Just because you're happy with your religion doesn't make it true. Some people would like you to know that, and that's why they're criticizing your beliefs, that doesn't mean they're trying to make their religion look better.

I for one am deeply shocked by the fact that mormons are told to reject well proven theories like evolution anno 2009.

Yet they preach science is a beautiful thing, sadly only in the cases when scientific findings strengthen their beliefs.

  • so someone being critical and nasty is ok? sorry but if it comes down to science of God for me, God wins every time hands down. Thanks for being civil though.

i dont personally and did not personally believe that i evolved from an animal, BUT animals evolving i can. so figure that one out lol.

  • yeah for 99% of you god wins over science. because science makes since

  • since what? if you meant SENSE. lol science does not make any more sense than anything else, IF it did, science would not ALWAYS be changing its "mind" about what is right and what isnt.

  • I married a Mormon girl and I am Christian. We get along great. You know why?? Because we both believe in God and Jesus Christ. Yes they will always be some differences in religion and that's because religion is man made. Man has too many religions because all confusion due to the many translations of the ancient scriptures. My wife and I both know that as long as you believe in Jesus and hold onto your faith you just cant go wrong! God bless !

  • when did i call you a christian? if you thought it applied to you, you must fit the description.

  • So you say the God you believe in doesn't bash other religions. I can only assume then, you do not believe in the Christian God?

  • you know what they say about people who assume.

  • The God I know is there is definitely a God of Love. I love the things you said in your video, and I agree with it completely. To fight over religion is just to let Satan grab ahold of something that is strengthening people's faith in Christ, and use it to tear down their faith. I wish people would quit trying to be conquistadors and violent heartedly try and correct people in their beliefs.

  • People like you cause more problems for the world. Which God do you believe in. The Christian God or the Mormon God? Get off the fence. Who made you and expert in giving people advice?

These people need to know the truth. Most of them don't

The mormon religion started from lies and frauds. Do your research before you rush to a hasty conclusion. These people ( you are becoming) are slaves to falsehood The internet is a tool use it. Find out if this claims about them are true. Don't be Stupid

  • you do realize you dont make any sense? i am not an expert to give advice but you are acting like you are an expert about who is right and who isnt and who is truthful and who isnt. PEOPLE LIKE YOU are the problem.

  • these were exactly my thoughts when i saw like 20 different anti-mormon videos by supposed christians and a few other religions

  • no kidding if they spent more time promoting their religion instead of bashing i might would think they are happier in their religion. i have a tendency to think people who bash other religions are miserable in their own.

  • You rock! We need more people like you in this world!

  • i dont know about more like me but we need less hypocrites and fake christians.

  • What if the religion in question is Islam that wants to enslave you or kill you? All this talk about not wanting to tear any religion down is very naive. Some religions are just evil.

  • the point you missed is it not your place nor mine to decipher who is evil and who isnt. ignorant people lump all mormons together as bad, and it ignorant.

  • I didn't "miss" your point. You said that we shouldn't judge any religion or call it "evil." Why not? That's a stupid and naive statement. What if one's religion requires one to burn widows at the stake (India)? What if one's religion requires to cut off females' clitoris (Africa)? What if one's religion calls for the mass murder of infidels (Islam)? All cultures, just like all religions, aren't equally moral or ethical. Get that through your woolly liberal, relativistic head.

  • still not your place. You dont have to agree with it, but the LDS do not do the extreme that you are talking about its a little silly to compare it to that.

the reason why not judge is because God tells you not to, and if you dont believe in God then having a discussion with you is about as smart as your attempt at an insult. REALLY if you had a serious point you wouldnt need to resort to name calling to do it.

Just shows you dont really have anything worth saying. and you know it.

  • You sincerely seem like a nice person but you are so misguided I don't know where to start. We are told to "judge lest you will be judge". This is different than being told not to judge. I judge my kids friends all the time to see if they are nice so they can play with them. Your view on homosexuality is based on equality of the lifestyles when they are not. Natural law proves that... Humans would be gone if hetero were not the predominant lifestyle. Why is it a stretch to consider it normal?

  • @RJD1959 I am only "misguided" because you dont agree with me. You dont have to start anywhere, my beliefs and faiths are mine, and if you dont agree so be it. BUT you cannot disprove my faiths or beliefs and you cannot call me misguided because of them. As for your other thoughts, they are kind of all over the place so not sure where to start with those. :)

  • wow, you are dumb.

  • same question to you, you searched out a video on something you obviously dont agree with, took time to log in and make a comment, and then you are going to call me dumb? LMAO.

  • wow! finaly..some1 dont bring down my church..thank you so much it makes me happy to feel there r good ppl put there who wont bring down my church!

  • Well said. I wonder if you might be in the market for a good used car ?.I got a great deal on a 1990 GEO. Send me a line I got a good feeling about you on this one,and hey thanks for the vid.

  • oh look romper room time at the asylum.

  • im sorry you cant see mormons for the bigots they are, but i guess unless its something you have experienced PERSONALLY, then its easy not to see what they do to other people

  • i guess a bigot can see other bigots more clearly than i can since i am not a bigot i wouldnt know.

  • you know most bigots dont even go to church, and you do realize you are a bigot right?

  • "Never heard them say anything wrong about another religion"...

Apparently you haven't been to the church. Behind their false smiles and appearances this church preaches hate and intolerance. Blacks weren't even allowed into the church until just a few decades ago. These are some of the most judgmental people I know, and I'm surrounded by them.

  • actually i have been to 4 different churches in different states and TWO different countries.

seems to me the most judgmental are so called christians who bash the LDS religion instead of promoting their own.

  • Thank you so much for an honest expression of what I have come to know & love about this church. I am a member, & though I question things about it, I've always been encouraged to seek knowledge, unlike other churches who just said, "God will spite you!" & tried to scare me into obedience. As a Mormon, I just WANT to do right, & help others on their path. I like that. I had to laugh about the homosexual thing, as we have good gay friends who visit us often, and call us Gay-friendly Mormons!

  • dood video, im not mormon and i agree, they are really nice good people.

  • Well I'm Mormon and ur right we do not down other people religion but i also think we have more stuff to learn (knowledege) but before i became mormon i thought they were the most kind people i've met!!! ur video was great

  • This is lovely and heartfelt video on a religious group I used to admire until they broke into my church.

Last summer in my church, 30 couples were married; 9 of those were same-sex couples. The Mormons paid lawyers try to forcibly divorce those 9 (they failed). In 2008 in California 18,000 same-sex couples were married, many in United Church of Christ, Unitarian and Episcopal churches. The Mormons raised $40 million to push through a law to ban them.

Whose church will they break into next?

  • it was NOT just mormons that raised money. The catholics were in on that too. just an FYI

  • "it was NOT just mormons that raised money. The catholics were in on that too."

-- I quit using the excuse "Johnny did it too" when I was 5.

  • so answer me this genius whats the difference in blaming just the mormons, and my pointing out that MORE than just the mormons were in it.

little lesson, california prides itself on being the most liberal state and it didnt pass there. YOU REALLY think that the only people who voted on that were mormons?

AND apparently that is the only asinine thing you QUIT doing when you were 5. :)

  • i'm not commenting to bash what you have to say about the mormon religion. i'm just giving you my point of view and what i've noticed about mormons. i have gone to the mormon church many times. I wasnt allowed in the main part of the church unless i was wearing a skirt or a dress. any other church i have been to around my area hasnt cared what i wear and dont look down on me the way the mormon church has. nice people i would have to agree, just very judgemental.

  • Well thats your experience and maybe the church you went to was not nice, but i can tell you i went as recently as easter wearing kakhi pants and a striped shirt and there was no one at the door unwilling to let me in, nor did anyone care. i was allowed all throughout the church to normal service. PERHAPS if this is a church you attend you should consult with the head of your church. Although from your comment why would you go there?

  • I LOVE this video! I watched it a year ago or so and thank you very much for posting it. People can believe whatever they want. We (Mormons) don't go around bashing other religions, so others don't need to bash us. Mind your own business people, and we will mind ours. Thanks again Lovethyneighbor.

  • Funny you say that because he is the God of the BIBLE. there is ONLY ONE GOD. And from what i have read in the bible i am doing exactly what i should be doing. I have not made up anything. Seems you make up reasons to hate people and judge them though dont you?

  • What i don't get is how any religion based on the same God can say it's "right" when none of them have proof

What also makes no sense to me is how some religious people believe that because THEY believe something, not only is it right, but they then have the authority to impose their religious beliefs on others. For example: Homosexuals v. Opposed. The opposed believe that everything about homosexuality is wrong, therefore they push to make sure these people don't have a choice for themselves.

  • ok but then the reverse is true. homosexual people are trying to force people who dont agree with it. and give them no choice? how is taking away the choice on either side right?

  • Well, they're not forcing those opposed to be gay ; ) If thats true, then hetero's are infringing on homo's. I mean, people have been gay since they've been straight.

In the end, i just don't agree with forcing your beliefs on someone who doesn't agree and they're not harming anyone.

  • No one is forcing anyone to be heterosexual either, but to stay on point, homosexual people are trying to force hetero people to accept something they do no want. SO AGAIN i pose the question, why is it ok for one side to force a change, but not the other? Some do not want accept homo life style, and some homos do not want to accept the rights they already have. They want heteros to conform to what they want. Neither side is going to win with that attitude.

  • I agree that neither side can win without a compromise, the thing is, homosexuals aren't forcing anything, they've been gay since people have been straight. So in reality, nothing is changing, the opposed simply don't want to accept it.

In the end though, those opposed should keep themselves away from it, and let those for embrace it.

Whats the mormon stance on homosexuality?

  • in California they are afforded the same rights as heterosexual people. they are forcing the issue of marriage. MOST people do not have a problem with them having rights, being entitled to the same insurance. most people have issue with the term marriage being redefined from man woman to man man, woman woman, man woman. They are forcing that issue. Mormons hate the sin love the sinner. if a gay person walks into church he is greeted the same as a hetero person. NOW that is my experience.

  • Wait....man woman to woman man? Meaning female empowerment?

I'm glad the mormons have an even stance on that issue, but thats not what i was really getting at. All i meant to say was that when something doesn't directly affect you(as in, a person or people) there shouldn't be some law against it nationally. Like abortion for instance, separate it by state and then it's fine, but don't ban it because you disagree.

  • why not we cant have prayer in schools because some people disagree? (not saying one way or the other)

but the minority seems to always get their way and the majority have to cater to them.

  • The Mormon stance on homosexuality is that pre-marital sex is a sin. All people are taught to live a chaste and morally upright life. If you are not married, you are not to engage in sex. It does not make a difference between people who identify as gay or straight. We are all held to the same standard. We must depend on Heavenly Father to guide us in all things. Untill things change, we have the proclamation to the family, and the high moral standard to live up to.

  • Watching this video made me proud to be LDS. I cant wait to go on my Mission. I was watching youtube videos on Missionaries getting caught in scripture battles when all they wanted to do was to introduce LDS religion. The men opposing the Missionaries were supposedly preaching Bible. But I was confused how you could preach woth the spirit when youre speaking hatred toward the LDS faith. Anyway. Just out of curiosity...do you still go to church off-and-on?

  • I was watching youtube videos of Missionaries getting shut down by rude people supposedely preachuing the Bible. I wondered how they could feel the spirit while talking negatively about the LDS faith. I was saddened by them. All religions should respect. Seeing your video made me proud to be LDS. And I cant wait to go on my Mission. Just out of curiosity...do you still go to Church off-and-on?

  • You seem very sincere and have a humble heart. I admire that but would encourage you to continue seeking truth. Frankly, I don't abide by the tenents of the Mormon faith because they lack credibility. If you do your due diligence and place the scrutiny used by historians on the stories told by Joseph Smith you will find them, as many have, inscrutable. Compare these stories with the gospel stories and you will see a huge chasm of credibility. I don't mean to impugn my sincere Mormon brethern.

  • you are a very strong person!

  • This was a great video and was very beautifully made.

  • I am Atheist, and I don't hate Mormons, but they are against almost everything. Some of the Mormons in my school would always bother the gay/lesbian/bi people! A lot of mormon friends aren't happy to be mormon though!

  • I really hate to be the one to tell you this but there is not a religion out there that condones the homosexual lifestyle. And LDS is not for everyone. i could never be catholic because i think they border on idol worship. BUT do i think catholic people are wrong. NO. they are entitled to worship how they see fit for themselves.

  • That was a nice video and from the heart. I had an experience some time ago. I was rooming with a friend, his brother, and two other guys I did not know. I had just moved in when a woman came to the door and invited all of us to a Bible study group. We said we'd go. She then asked what religion the five of us did. It turned out the other two guys were LDS and the woman freaked out and ran off.

I was in SLC, Utah when a conference was going on and couldn't believe the spewers of hatred who had.

  • Funny how people preach God with one hand and throw hate with the other and THINK they are right isnt it?

  • Sorry it has taken me some time to reply. I'm not good on websites.

I do see people using the Bible as a weapon. Some like to "Bible bash," but it's contention and the Lord said "Contention is not of Me, but of the devil." In the Bible Christ did not get angry at the Romans, who were Pagans, but at the hypocrites. Those who profess Him and do not as he did. Every religion has rude people, but the healthy need not a physician, but those that are sick. It's those of us who sin who need Him.

  • Amen. i dont have no shame in begin mormon.

  • Thank you SO much! I wish people knew this... I've been to other churches even though I am Mormon and I'm appauled at how they slam our religion down... We respect other religions. I tell people, "We believe our Heavenly Father let's us make decisions so whichever religion they choose is the right one for them."

I've also noticed we're the only religion that let's your repent and you always have a guarantee to go to heaven. You can be catholic and still get into the highest kingdom!

  • You're amazing. Thank you for posting this video.

  • I am a christian (evangelical) and I am friends with a mormon. I met him at work. I actually promoted him his first month working there. I have only ever met a handful of mormons but they are awesome people. I do get concerned that sometimes they stray away from Jesus. I always here them talk about their rules, rituals, culture, etc. Very seldomly do I here them say "Jesus saved me." Either way I think that all it takes to be saved is christ and any extra or lack of beliefs God can forgive.

  • Who decides what language is vulgar? What is it that makes a word vulgar? Why is it that two words with the same meaning are not both considered vulgar?

I(and everyone else in a free country) have every right to rip on any religion we feel like. Freedom of speech is not free if it is unfairly limited, and there is no reason that your feelings should be protected. If you're feelings are constantly being hurt then you should grow a thicker skin, it's that simple.

  • its my video and i decide what gets allowed and what doesnt. as you so like to point out its freedom of speech and i am allowed the freedom to restrict on MY OWN PERSONAL video what i like and what i dont.

amazing how that freedom things works both ways but people like you never seem to grasp that concept do you?

  • My first thought when I watched this was that your parents had done a wonderful job raising you. This video shows you to be tolerant, respectful and fair. Great attributes to have! I am a Mormon with a son serving a mission in Michigan and each night I pray that people will treat him with the kindness and respect that you have displayed, even if they disgree with his message. Thank you.

  • thks for sharing the truth about my religion... be thy an example...and you are an example...i am 16 ....and yes i am a mormon...god bless you

  • Thanks a lot for this video and your wise and kind words!

  • I was raised in a devout Mormon family. I'm an atheist now, but I have to say that most Mormons I know are definitely some of the most tolerant religious people. It's becuase they know what's it's like to believe in something that people ignorantly hate. There is so much misconception and anamosity toward Mormons in mainstream Christianity. I don't like religion in general, but I prefer Mormonism to most Christian denominations.

  • Loved it! Thanks so much! Glad you are so open to people... you are a wonderful woman! :)

  • You are 100% right. No offense to anyone but I wish more would find out for themselves instead of listening to negative people who didn't find out for themselves no matter what religion it may be. If your a pastor aren't you supposed to be christ-like not just say you believe in him but believe in his way.

  • :) Made my night. Thanks.

  • look on youtube how many people hate mormons, then look how mormons dont put anyoneelse down, were nice people

  • You are a good person. Thank you for your comments.

  • O my goodness lady bless your heart u are one of those people who are kind and don't say horrible things about are church just because of the way how society and sometimes even media may sometimes make are church seem like one of the worst churches.................. Again bless your heart and God bless you.

  • we love you! you da bomb!

  • this is a very nice video and your right; i hate it when people rant on other peoples religion because i think that you cant be 100% sure that what you believe is right. but i do have one question about the mormon religion: is it true that they view women less than men? please reply someone.

  • Thanks a million for your video. I've added it to my favorites list.

  • Absolutely wonderful insight.

  • Thanks for telling your good thoughts about churches , btw im a mormon

  • god bless you

  • "the God that I believe in would not condone tearing down another person's religion."

Im not sure what God you believe in, but if you claim God as described in the Bible, then you are grossly mistaken. I would reccomend that you read the 4 Gospels alone to see how often Jesus rebuked the religious leaders of His day. Thats Christ, and He exposed the lies BECAUSE He loved them, not because HE didnt. Love without Truth is irresponsible, and isnt real love at all. please read your Bible a bit.

  • BUT in the end it is for GOD to decide NOT you. Not your interpretation of scripture. it is for God to decide. You are supposed to worry about your salvation, and making sure your spirit is right with God. My relationship with God is pretty dang good. You cannot know anything about me if i am right or wrong. and for you to judge me, is wrong. You cannot throw all these stones without some bouncing back and hitting you. because you are as wrong as you claim i am in your judgments.

  • I am deciding nothing, I'm re-stating what already had been decided by the Biblical standard. Thats why we have the Bible. My DUTY as a follower of Christ is loving others enough to point them to the one and only saving Gospel through Christ. Its not up for interpretation, its the most clear and basic tenant of Christianity. I dont judge anything, but I can hold one to the Biblical standard that judges what they believe. If your belief and the Biblical standard dont line up, guess whose wrong?

  • using the Bible as a weapon to justify why you are right only reiterates why you are wrong.

No one said that Christ is not the way, and the LDS do not say Christ is not the way. you are so sure you are right you cant see past the nose on your face to see you are breaking Gods laws as much if NOT MORE than those you are trying to "save"!

  • Hello,

I loved your video, but there's one thing I may not disagree with you. I totally agree that we should open-minded and "OK" with others' religions...what I don't agree on though is that the 'real God' may be hateful and all, and that you may actually go to hell because you dont like this god. not liking that god or the religion doesn't mean it's a false one.

    know what I mean?

  • Mormon's are as fascinating as everyone else who believes without proof.

EVERY SINGLE HUMAN on this planet deserves respect.

*chuckle*...even us Atheists who agree in one less god than the rest of you.

  • agreed. everyone should be allowed to worship with their beliefs. you being an atheist does not lessen that right in anyway. And people who try to change your mind about what you believe are wrong. however i think them sharing their beliefs should be ok? i just think its bull spit that mormons are the dedicated whipping boy of religion.

  • Actually...I even agree with their right to try to change my mind. I'm fairly certain that they'll fail...But that's not the point.

I mean...If religious folks really feel "righteous" and want to save others from a lake of fire and brimstone and jumping demons who poke people with pitch-forks, should we fault them?

I mean...Even if we find their beliefs unbelievable, or even silly?

Everything else you say here, I agree with.

  • i dont think anyone should be faulted for their beliefs. i really dont think its anyone on this earths place to tell others what they HAVE to believe. people should not be forced to accept something because someone else thinks its ok. i think as long as we are kind to each other and are generally good people. religion wont really make that much difference!

  • idk ive always gotten the impression that god Does want us to hate other religons that worship him.. or maybe thats just christianity.. lol i dont really know but one thing that HAs always bothered me about religons is that they all disregard others. and saying "we have more knowledge" is kind of just a nice waying of saying you are wrong and we are right. they may not intend to sound arrogant but their way of thinking is.. in my oppinion

  • ALL religions think they are better than others and know more than others. whats your point? the only difference is the other religions dont get the persecution that the LDS church does. and THAT in itself is a HUGE mystery to me.

  • yes, mormons are always kind and helpful. it does not surprise me that the majority of people who are threatened by mormons' hospitality are not exactly the nicest people in the world.

  • Thank you, lovethyneighbor.

  • please tell me then why joseph smith the mormon leader liked to have sex with 13 year old girls he married one as well when she was 12 that to me is a peadophile and they start saying civil union between two seame sex poaple is wrong so no they are not kind there homophobic and there leader was a peadohile

  • tell me why the catholic church hid the fact priests were molesting little boys? people as a whole are not good or bad, and just because someone in a certain religion does something sick DOES not mean you or anyone else has the right to judge the religion as a whole.

oh and hate to point out a fact but the catholic church was a HUGE part of protesting prop 8 they just did not get as much publicity about it. AGAIN for some reason people like to bash on the LDS for doing what others do

  • It's awesome how kind and open-minded you are. But just keep in mind that there will be some "Christians" who don't fully represent what they should. They represent the religion, not God. Mormons do the same thing. I've had plenty of mormons at my school tell me i'm wrong and going to hell because i'm on on fire for God Christian.

  • lol all churches have some crazys what can you do

  • Thank you so much for making this video. I think it will really help people think better of Mormons. thank you again.

    YOU Rox My Sox Off

  • It wont help anyone who doesnt want to be helped. People like to HATE other people for asinine reasons. nothing i can do about that. BUT i can put some positive out there to combat the negative!

  • You give them your money and your time, and they give you lies. Sounds like a good gig. LDS church is the recession proof business model. The next time you hear about another 'member' leaving your church, it's not because the devil seduced them. It's because they finally woke up and realized it's all a bunch of foolish hocus pocus that causes self-loathing. You cannot become a god. No man, no woman can. But you can keep your money away from greedy capitalists. Think about it.

  • as opposed to the "christian" evangelist asking for money every week on TV? REALLY get a decent argument. this one is old. again other churches do the EXACT same thing as the LDS yet the LDS seem to be the red headed step child of religion. wonder why that is?

  • Hey... Ok so i'm mormon and i really support u in anything u really want to do! You keep exploring and find ur religon! i beleive that everything u said about that was absolutly right!!!!!

    Keep going girl

  • Werd. Thank you for sharing your perspective... Especially how you see God... I agree...

  • you rock some serious stuf, i dont know what kind of stuff but its good stuff! haha, i'm a missionary in training and i've heard that the other churches are not false or anything, its like a pizza, we have the whole pizza the other churches just have a few slices, i love it, but hey i respect you so much, you are a great person

  • I do agree with some of your statements.

like im not any religion. and im not trying to bash them or anything. i just think some of them including mormons do judgeg. . .because if like a homosexual person was to talk to a person that has a religion like a mormon person dont you think they would treat them differently? i dont really beleive in anything but peace. its complicated i know but does that make any sense?

  • as far as what i have come across in the LDS religion i have not seen them treat ANYONE differently. We actually had a gay couple attending church, and they were hugged and people shook hands and welcomed them just like they did me and my husband. Now i cant say all of them are like that but the one i went to was.

  • I agree with u completely.

  • Love Mormons; abhor Mormonism. Contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints according to Jude 3.

  • What if my religion was Satanism, does God condone that?

Not all religions are good or true.

  • If you were a satanist you would not care what God condoned or didnt condone. So its really an invalid question

  • It doesn't matter what I condone, it matters what God condones.

  • AGAIN i answered the question you posed, and you posed if you were a satanist would God condone it. And i stated a fact that if you were a satanist you would not care what God did or did not condone, because he would not be the head of your religion. So its still an invalid question. NOW if you want to ask me if you were catholic would God condone that. Then it would make sense, BUT i still cannot SPEAK for God i can speak about what i believe. So i cant answer for God.

  • I can tell you're a very sincere and loving person. I'm not trying to argue with you.

The point I was making is that God does not condone all religions. I believe God doesn't condone religion at all.

I've studied most major "Christian" religions, I've even studied with two young Mormon missionaries.

I've been to Salt Lake,Provo,BYU on several occasions.

Mormons are nice people, but I'm Black, so I don't condone anything that doesn't condone me.

God made all of us, right?

  • he may not, but because you believe God doesnt condone religion at all doesnt make it true. anymore than what i believe makes it true.

my whole point is that (and you should get this) how right and christian is it of people to judge an entire RACE or RELIGION based on a few bad apples?

  • wow...that was actually really positive!

I thought I would hear a lot of bashing but you are true to your cause! Why bring down other religions.

When you really think about it, most Christian religions have LOTS more in common than otherwise. It's sad that the children of God fight so much over small issues that deal with Him!!

  • AMEN SISTER!!!!!

  • By their fruit ye should know them !

  • awesome i loved this. im a mormon an i just started crying when i saw this video. good job. being a mormon is not as bad as it sounds. its kinda of fun. we do all sorts of things. young women nights, EFY, trips, campings ect. your so respectful about it. keep up your experience and thank you. = ]

  • Thanks so much for this video. Hope everyone listens to this video.

  • Im A latter Day Saint a.k.a known as Mormon this is so tru everything u said.

we dont put other churches down and we dont judge.

    =]

    xx

  • Thank you for being mature and your comments. This would have been great for any religion. You rock!

  • "They just feel like they have more knowledge than most other churches"; taken from your video.

Doesn't that sound a little arrogant?

Also, what is the typical Mormon view of Science (referring to the widespread Science v.s Religion debate)? Are they accepting or do they automatically refute science as many other religious groups tend to do?

Certainly not an attack, and I loved your video. I'm just curious.

  • NOPE and i will tell you why, BECAUSE all churches think they are right & know more than others..i can only speak from the people i have been around, and i have only come across one LDS in 5 years that was "blind" not to say there are not more, but i cannot tell that answer. just like every other religion some do and some dont, you have to ask it of each individual & not as a whole. Because you cant really say one opinion for a whole group of people and be right either way. does tha make sense?

  • It certainly does, and I appreciate your response.

    :)

  • As a Mormon and a Scientist, I respond by saying that we know that God exists. He created everything...and is the author of science. Does some of today's science refute this? Sure. But remember scientific opinion always changes. 500 years ago science told you the world was flat . Relatively...500 years ago was VERY recent. What will we know a year from now? We believe one day God will reveal everything and the science of man will fit together perfectly with the laws and existence of God.

  • We believe that science and religion have more in common than they have differences. Obviously, the belief in God requires faith without physical evidence. But religion and science do not have to contradict each other in every instance.

  • After the death of Jesus Christ, wicked people persecuted the Apostles and Church members and killed many of them. With the death of the Apostles, priesthood keys and the presiding priesthood authority were taken from the earth. Without the Apostles, over time the doctrines were corrupted, and unauthorized changes were made in the Church organization, Bible, and priesthood ordinances. In 1820 God called the prophet, Joseph Smith to restore the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth.

  • Mormons believe that the Bible and Book of Mormon work together as two separate witnesses to testify of our Savior Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 13:1).

The Bible testifies of Jesus' birth, ministry, death, Atonement, and resurrection. The Book of Mormon testifies of Christ and His Atonement and gives an account of what happened after he died and rose from the tomb. The books go hand in hand. I am Mormon and I believe the science and God can and do go hand in hand.

  • Mewstor151-There is in my experience a diverse range of opinion about "science". Some Mormons believe in creationism, some would question the chronology of a bible. I believe in a combination of creationism, Darwinism and Von Daniken. Nice video. Not all of us are as nice as that but we should be.

  • Hi, I'm a Mormon.

My response isn't generally that, it's just what our missionaries say. I personally say, "We just believe our Heavenly Father put us on this earth to make decisions and it's their own personal choice which church they attend."

Also, we believe that our Heavenly Father created this world for us. Evolution isn't something we believe in.

  • I'm a mormon and what you said about the mormon faith is true.

  • Hi Love:

Thanks for the honest video and sharing your thoughts about the church. I have been a member my whole life, made the decision to commit to it after quite a rebellious teen years, served a mission and am now raising my family in the church. I am grateful for its' teachings and how it has brought me closer to God.

    Good luck in your journeys!

  • I LOVE YOU UR MY HERO
