I am racing in the Gt Championship with a viper now, we previously had a Porsche Gt2 Turbo but our team manager dicided to sell it and buy the Viper SRT10 because of the lack of speed that the porsche had. i have to say that the porsche was better in the corners but when you hear the sound of the viper when leaving the corner you change your mind. when i open the throttle it goes flat out without stopping. we had a top of 350 on francorchamps when the porsche only did 320.

Why?

S/C will give you instant fucking power, with no need to brake boost, and when you have something this powerful, more power isn't really what you want.

Also, dealing with the much power means you can pull away from a lot of things (i.e. Supra, TT Mustang) before they have time to spool, with a supercharger.

I'll take 766 S/C wheelhorses over 766 T/C wheelhorses with an 8.4L anyday.

And you can make more horsepower with a Roe/Paxton S/C than you can with 40r's until about 1200hp.

Good thing about Viper is the motor is less complicated than any other car made by Japanese and European. It is easy to maintain and less expanses to fix than lets say Ferrari. And it is fast as hell and handles well too.

Car is very sweet i use to own an 05 burnout is lame and the guy driving is scared of the car. You should really learn to do a burnout not that hard in this car it has no trac control show it.

the venom1000 would be quicker, not the 650...

Now, a supercharger most often uses belts and pulleys to force induction, a turbo uses a fan inside a tube to build PSI and force induction that way..

Superchargers usually provide their additional power sooner and more often once you get on the gas..

Turbos take longer to spool up, and you sometimes have to be within a certain RPM range, but turbos usually make more power, and have more potential.

Their both good in their own ways

turbos have lag when you hit the pedal. they are better for drag cars who dont need instant throttle response, but for a street car superchargers are the way to go.

I have the viper venom II, the Hennessy, is a twin turbo mod 1000HP, 2 turbo only I did the engine rebuild balance blueprint 2 high velocity fuel pumps 1-3/4 custom headers, 2 stage 12 psi supercharger, borla exhaust 5800lb clutch, traction control, and 6 computers for torque rpm intake exhaust,pressure controller. intercoolers status, and full authority digital engine controller FADEC. 1100HP 0 to 240 MPH 22seconds.
