  • How are your shitake logs doing these days? Also, have you found a process that works well inside for the oysters in your basement or garage? I am planing on starting a small operation here in missouri!

  • Hi, What happened? Did you get mushrooms? Part 2 needed! :-)

  • I'll inoculate some substrate upside someone's face! lol

  • any mold?

  • Interesting. If it'll work for you I'll try it too.

  • Well, I got a few mushrooms from this kit... They really started to flush once the conditions were right for me to bring them outside. The only problem then was bugs. I will most likely not try this method again (I also bought an indoor shiitake kit that only produced about a half dozen shrooms)

Now I'm more concerned with log cultivation. My brother and I have about 30 shiitake logs (3 foot length) and several oysters, and we'll be doing it again this Spring. I will post a video at that time

  • If you do not have access to rain water you can use tap water that has been sitting for 24-48 hrs to let the Chlorine oxidise. Otherwise you will kill the mycelium.

  • How are they goin?
