one thing I've never really understood about faith and religion is that they're always begging for money, but why would they need money, when God could just give them everything they need via miracles? Like, the church I used to go to would always explain the things that our offering money went to pay, like repairs on the church, and air conditioning, but I used to secretly wonder why God wouldn't just use a hidden miracle to make the temperature in the church always be 70 degrees?
So you only believe in things that are physical and can be seen? Well you believe in gravity? Try jumping out of empire state building and don't have to believe you will die, that's not gonna change the fact that you will. Do you see atoms with your naked eye? Would you believe in atoms before electron microscopes are invented? I am quite stoked at your response.
His TN is probably Trigeminal Neuralgia, aka tic douloureux, a miserable condition, difficult to diagnose, equally difficult to treat. Sorry to hear about his condition, but if it all worked together to lead him and his new wife to Christ, his most important illness has been cured. Now, they are free in Jesus. There's a prevailing soul-sickness, and Christ is the only cure. Now I will pray that he finds successful management of his TN. God bless you, Matt.
Don't pray help the guy!!. send the guy with the brain problem what he needs . according to the info i have thus far, praying is just talking to your imaginary friend. don't use prayer as an excuse not to help. send him money.
@OpenAirAtheist Please don't be a typical atheist fool who attacks what they can't understand. You don't believe, fine. What "info" do you have? Have you ever heard that you have to actually "believe" to receive blessings from God? As long as you wander in darkness, the more of a fool you will be. Sorry. Truth hurts.
@tak178 Now you just made a philosophical mistake . If your god blesses people on the basis of belief then he is not causative but merely responsive which means that he is subject to fate luck or chance.Which means you should be praying to those principles not your god. Perhaps you shouldn't talk about things you don't understand and can't prove . That makes you the fool.
The tanach also is consistent with this, God is the one who called israel out from among the nations ... israel did not call God out. God is the one who had appointed certain individuals in times past to come to great positions of faith. God called moses personally, david ... etc ... nobody "made themselves" faithful.
Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Have you traveled by air before? Say if you don't believe in a pilot, why would you ride in an airplane? Apparently you have to have faith in the pilot to ride the plane. You practice faith everyday and don't even know it. Just because your disbelief in God does not mean he does not exist. Do you need to see God in order to believe in Him? Well that starts faith. I suggest picking up the bible as God reveals Himself through his word
@tights01 are you kidding that's totally different in many ways. you can experience the pilot with your senses, and we know that these pilots have gone through proper training. all you have is a book which i bet you can't even read in its original languages and it is full of errors and contradictions . Gk Heb you don't even have the original ms ,we already know certain stories were added in later by scribes . . bet your faith is in translators and at best lexicons. faith is for suckers!!!
It's an assumption you'd have to make to "know" that the person flying the plane is a qualified pilot. You still have to believe he is a pilot. Say he's a qualified pilot, now what? You still have to believe that he is absolutely capable of flying that plane and landing it safely, so you can walk out alive...don't tell me you will ride the plane without trusting the skills of the pilot. That takes faith! Until you land safely, can you say that you can trust him or his skills?
Also, is your statement "a book which i bet you can't even read in its original languages and it is full of errors and contradictions" absolute? Have you read the Bible cover to cover? Which stories were added by scribes at a later time? Can you be a good critique if you don't know the book you're critiquing? What are you willing to bet that my faith is based on translators and lexicons? Your eternal destiny?
@tights01 1yes i have read the bible cover to cover , i was an open air preacher. there are some NT passages i can read in their original languages although its been a while. 2 you can see pilots to you can't see god if he even exists. plus even if that pilot turns out to be untrust worthy, there is still a co pilot. the pilot is physical .
@tights01 3 when did jesus die before or after the passover meal was eaten? depends which gospel you read . 4 how many woman came to the tomb and what were there names? was the stone rolled away before or after they got there ? how many angels 1or 2 ? were they sitting or standing ? were there guards at the tomb? was it light or dark when mary got there? it depends which gospel you read! these are just a few i've got a lot more. please o please sight isa 53 i have disproven that as well.
You posted 4 replies to my post and I can sense that you are angry with God. Probably something happened that wasn't favorable...I will be more than willing to give you answers to the questions you posted, questions you think involves contradiction, but in actual fact they don't.
@OpenAirAtheist The Bible is inerrant, infallible and inspirational. If you are seeking, I can gladly help you find the answers and you decide for yourself. But if you're out to trample the cross underfoot, then there is really nothing left to say, because Christ can appear in front of you and you still won't believe. If that is really the case, then let this be my last reply...your blood is upon your own head and I wash my hands off of it. All the Best, atheist.
@tights01 How do you know it is the word of God?if you have skype just type OpenAirAtheist and ad me. I can chat anytime between 4pm-5am CA time. You can tell me all about it. Otherwise your wasting my time
@tights01 now as for your '' eternal destiny ?'' question. i have no logical reason to believe in life after death / soul out side of wishful thinking, but heres a question for you since your a'' believer''. How do you Know that when you die you won't find out that you should have believed in Zues ,Oden ,Thur , Autin Cornunous , or Allah ? and while your at it! How do you know that your not plugged into the matrix and that your holy book along with every thing else isn't a part of that matrix?
@OpenAirAtheist Buddy, you are an atheist, remember? There's no Zeus, odin, thor or allah for you...where did they come from...do they suddenly exist for you now? where are you going with this? Matrix??!! yeah that's a fantastic movie.
@carmvideos You Will make sure David get's it " should I take that on faith? Don't no sounds like something Benny Hinn or that apostle guy peddling green prayer cloths would say.
Respond to this video... So Matt did you locate that non material soul yet? Lol what ever your answer is . Your not saying it because it's true, your saying it because your soul is causing you to.
Thanks alot Matt. Im glad you are making youtube more of a priority. I think your subscriber base will increase quickly and the Gospel will be heard by many as a result!
Also a suggestion - when you post links, you can annotate your videos on youtube so that we can just click onthe link instead of pausing the video and typing the web address....
