I'm concerned you are doing the testing with bare hands and the geiger counter is also being exposed every time you test, whether it is touching the edge of the bowl, etc. Have you made sure the geiger counter has not touched the wet paper, etc?

@pammatiti - Thank you for this. Be assured that off-screen I am immediately rinsing and drying my hands. I am more concerned about getting radioactive "goo" on the Inspector than me as contaminating the $1k machine/etc. would mean the end of its usefulness. Others, like dutchsinse, have clearly contaminated their Inspectors through sloppy handling. We also take great care to keep radioactive air and food out of Radiation Station. Our "Eat Me" blog post addresses food and you should look at it!

Where I live the level of radioactive iodine in rainwater was 1800% (180x) safe levels. That was about mid-march.
