  • thats why he calls it.showmenship assehole

  • @mutatedmonty

What video editor did you use for that? please tell me thanks and great work

  • @inventorwanted It's so easy...

  • The captaindisillusion video does an awesome job of explaining it. Also, if you want more proof that all that body-language, NLP and subliminal crap is a load of nonsense, read Derrens books. Still, his shows were better when he was disguising his tricks as psychological crap nad pretending to read peoples faces and body language and implant subliminal suggestions and all that nonsense.

  • Not as good as the stuff in the Mindreading Exposed ebook

  • Want to know how he did it?

Was it a cheap silly camera trick, like that one?

Did he manipulate the real balls to emulate the fakes?

Did he replace the numbers with a tape he made earlier?

No, no, no and no. He did none of these things, he did simply the best sleight of hand, I have ever seen. Well I almost did't see it. But that's what happened. Watch frame by frame if you like, but it happens, and is almost impossible to see.

  • ! Have you tried this "vermont lottery system" guy (search on google)? Ive heard real shocking reviews about him and with my mate we thinking about crazy amounts of mamona to get with this system. - Vermont lottery master amazing system.

  • @sm3kla It's a scam.

  • I'm shocked that there's people who actually believe there was no trick and that he actually predicted the lottery numbers. The "explanation" he gave as to how he did it was extremely trivial. I invite the simpletons who believe that tripe to try it themselves. Get a few mates to write down random numbers with their eyes closed? Yeah, that'll work.

  • Derren actually revealed the 'secret' himself - see my video.

  • The only way derren could have proved it to be real was if he sjowed the balls before the lottery was revealed.

  • 1. He had a live audience

    2. It was live

    3. He showed us how he do it afterwards

    4. it takes time and physiological skill to work it out ( which Derren has)

    5. He's amazing !

  • @MsCherryberry98 he showed us how to do it afterwards, that was all true, but not real if that makes sense, he said at the end of the show 'if anyone asks how i did it, il just say it was a trick', he set it up somehow, but however he did it he fooled me and thousands of other people for a few minutes, hes a genius :)

  • @MsCherryberry98 that's not how he did it. He's a brain teaser, don't fall into his trap.. it's just a trick.

  • This is why he was alone in his studio, no audience.

  • yea, you just say this because your mind can't accept this. doing this live would take a grade of precision beyond NASA, due to the shadowing effect that can be seen on the wall behind you at about 0:20, look at the top of the screen, where the split is, you have 2 shoulder shadows, and for a period where the camera is split, the shadow on the right doesn't move, and to those who say the ball on the left moves up when he says 23, well, strange that only disbelievers see that

  • @jangofett287 You fail to see what the maker of this video, mutatedmonty intended. There's no point spending anything over an hour or two on this kind of thing because this is just to show an example LIKE what Derren Brown did. The point he's trying to get across is if this kind of effect is THIS easy with one man in his own home with his own computer, think about what could be possible with a group of paid professionals with industry grade equipment and a huge budget - My point exactly.

  • @jangofett287 People disbelieved it BECAUSE they saw that.

Doing it live would take nowhere near that much precision. It would just take a bit more time and effort than one guy spending about 15 minutes messing around with basic video editing software.

  • yeap thats the soution

i didn't guess how the shake was done but make sense and much more easy if it was just artificial shake, ;)

  • didn't he predict in front of an live audience though? I cant remember I was pissed then and now haha

  • you put the green screen on infront of a computer, how can you add the green screen live on a cam corder? please explain would like to try it

  • @LookItsEdd It's split screen, half of the screen is frozen, after the switch they switched that frozen screen back to live. =D No green screen needed.

  • @WhatIsAlaviable I think that is incredibly rude. I am just voicing my opinion, that's what these comments are for. You do not have any right to get personal.

  • awesome. its seamless. we live in an age of illusions...our senses are lying to us.

  • Way cool

  • Huh. Sorry, I don't get it, maybe if I watched more videos.

  • before the numbers are revealed, you are watching a "split screen". the right half of the screen is Derren watching TV, the left half of the screen is a super-imposed image of numberless ping pong balls in another room.

there is an assistant to Derren's right. you can't see him because he is obscured behind the split screen.

when the BBC revealed the numbers, Derren's hidden assistant sets the balls accordingly, and then runs away. then the split screen is removed, revealing the set balls

  • @OceanderTethyseus - Ok, so he's pretending to predict the numbers, or something?

  • @fecalophagus

oh, lol, this video is explaining the secret behind a magic trick that some douchebag named Derren Brown did on live TV in Britain.

you can see the a video of Derren Brown's original live magic trick on British television if you do a YouTube search for: "Derren Brown correctly predicts lotterly live"

it's a good trick. i couldn't figure out how it was done until i watched this video.

  • @OceanderTethyseus - Ha! Ha! Ok. Thanks.

  • derrenbrown.weebly.com - i think the method on that site is more accurate, cant believe i didnt notice it before

  • Good reveal...but a few problems with your supposition:

1] Brown walks BEHIND the area that would be the split screen, not only in front of

2] Brown INTERACTS with objects in the supposed split screen, so

3] at what point does the split screen get "taken down," that he may interact with the balls manipulated by his assistant during the readoff? And

4] How to blend that effect with live TV, even WITH an artificial camera shake?

Not saying he predicted the thing, just see flaws with this method.

  • @oskamunda The split screen just needs to be there for a few seconds, just long enough to place the numbers. Befor and after he can do what he wants.

Blending it wouldn't be difficult in a controlled studio envirement with only people in on it and him would touch the objects.

The switch probably happened during the reading of the numbers.

  • Dear Roulette spam mongoloids. If you post the same message 12 times in a row, no one's gonna visit your scam site!

  • Great video by the way. It is featured in the Daily Telegraph online. Nothing but a camera illusion. Credit to Darren Brown though. A lot of people tuned in to watch the stunt. It is highly unlikely anyone could ever predict all 6 numbers of the lottery, but there are systems out there anyone could use to increase their chances of winning. I have made a video which shows a few examples on the subject.

  • hahahahahaha

  • i didnt know who derren was when he pridicted the lottery what was his explanation i cant find it anywhere :(

  • wow your a clever guy :)

  • i dont really mind if it was fake. It is still very entertaining to watch and it is also entertaining to see how he did it afterwards.

  • Don't waste your time on finding the trick ....

I worked for Derren on that trick ... and it's a trick for sure ... I made those "special" lottery balls to inject black color (just like a printer) from inside so with just 6 remote controls they colored the winning numbers ...

  • @RAZcracK Dont talk shit.

  • @AshBlackler08 No-no-no, i'm serious ... Nowadays i'm working on an project that will inject human cells into creating artificial human parts (E.g. ears, nose, lips e.t.c.) Google it... And if you think injecting the balls is impossible ... Believe it or not but is a 3-4 hours work and nothing more ...

Anyways it's your decision to believe me or Derren's "magic" ...

  • @RAZcracK hard to belive but if true that is very cunning and if you did make them congrats cos that is one hell of a piece of work

  • Witchcraft!!!

  • @VxmikeyxV why the fuck did you have to bring up a country for!? Where ever you're from; I can instantly tell you that Philippines, most probably, have more talented and gifted people than your country has. Oh and stop wasting time on telling someone how poor their grammar are, this is the Internet -- matter fact look at yours.

  • Derren Brown is an absolute genius

  • He is great but that lottery trick completely insulted the intelligence of the audience. I mean, nobody actually believed he could predict it and his "explanation" was jibberish.

His specials like "The Heist" and "Russian Roulette" were awesome.

  • @MultiBlais not really a genius.. just clever.. cmon dont slobber on his balls so much for THAT... i respect him more for what he does to kill the psychic idustry and expose it for the fraud it is

  • @sk1llshot he is a genius if you read his book you will agree :D

  • @MultiBlais so's this dude for sussing it.

  • @fragman08 yes I look forward to reading his bio and watching him receive a couple of BAFTA's for his tv shows

  • Awsome explanation.

  • lol

  • Brown uses camera tricks and amateur actors in most of his tricks...the man is a shameless liar

  • This video is the quintessence of perfect economy.

There are so many vids that waste our time that i'm going to waste my time writing this comment.

    5 stars!

  • jst so u kno wen i sed u lot i meant the people who create these vids, not the people who comment lol

  • U lot r losers, stop trying to prove great men wrong and try doing things urself. why dont u at least go get a girlfriend...and before u say anyfink i do mean a real one

  • @VxmikeyxV trust me that isnt the biggest insult i can give but i dont have the time or patience to chat to u bout your slag of a mom, and if u got a girlfriend then why u take offence from my comment, whos the fuckin dumbass really. like i sed before get a life. instead of trying to prove others wrong grow a set of balls and do sumfink urself jackass

  • Wow, your grammar is awful. If you are going around ranting like an idiot about things that don't matter, go ahead. At least my "mom" isn't a fat, dirty, sti infested amorous whore who lives in the phillipines with 7 children. Obviously you were one of these uneducated children who were pitied enough to be picked up by your foster parents. I'm sure your foster parents regret raising you, you worthless piece of shit. Go back to school and learn to speak english, you moped faced little cunt.

  • @VxmikeyxV hey hey one love now.

  • @VxmikeyxV I must say its people like you who have in resent years, given the British a bad name.

  • @VxmikeyxV Quite right

  • @i9a1n14 Don't sink to the level of this man, though I dislike to use the word as his actions seem that of a teenager who can simply be described as a chav. It is clear that you gramer may not be perfect however I believe I am correct in saying it is not your first language, and the fact that you can speak (or rather type) it so well shows a dedication and intellect above that of the average brit

please dont judge us all by one mans shameful actions

  • I think it's pretty dumb to argue with magicians. You people have no sense of fantasy or entertainment.

You guys watched and where compelled, so he entertained you too.

Personally I never watch it because I know it's bullshit, so it doesnt fly with me.

I think you guys are pretty retarded with 'PROVING' magic doesnt exist. O RLY?

  • A more logical explanation than the "wisdom of the crowd" aka smoke and mirrors.

  • quality

  • Lol i love this video.

I love it even more how Derren Brown, that bulls**ter said he spent a year on that lame ass trick.

I really wish he did waste a year on that.

    What a cock.

  • hes better than u got more money and a better life than u soo your a cock

  • ??????????

  • Nice.

  • A strange question, but how do you do that peel effect to show the layer underneath. I want to use it to explain something. Is it a plugin of sorts?

By the way, that's exactly how he did the trick, you can even see one of the balls move a tad.

  • haha

  • The camera follows Derren into the studio, it was not on a tripod! Not impossible to pull off your theory but very difficult!

  • No. At the start, Derren points out that there are two cameras, a handheld and a mounted studio camera. IIRC, the handheld is used exactly once, when he mentions it at the start. For the duration of the trick, only the static camera is used.

  • I though the static camera was right at the back of the room, he uses it to give a long shot near the start to kinda show there is nothing else in the room except him a camera guy and the TV. You may be right through!

  • You are 100% correct good sir, this is how he did it. It's amazing the ideas some people come up with... LAZERS?! WTF?!

&@sk958, the techniques in this video are doable live, so it doesn't matter.

  • ahhh yes this may be true buuuuuuut this was LIVE

  • or does that not make a difference?

  • yeh , i think this is a decent explination. derren browns prediction was made to make you think wow and to make you think. but underneath it all its not real. but some work he does is quite amazing.

  • Nice.

    Just...nice.

  • Two points to make, 1st if he did actually predict the lottery numbers before hand, why didn't he tell us the audience what those numbers were going to be. and secondly he is an illusionist which is basically using methods which make us believe the impossible. he builds everything up to the point of disappointment

  • thats b/s...he was making a prediction, its not "illegal" to predict anything..he spews out bull and people actually fall for it

  • he didn't

  • You're legally allowed not to believe anything people tell you.

The numbers are not property of anyone - Derren Brown gave an excuse for not revealing the numbers first (because he didn't know them) and you fell for it completely. Don't do that!

  • His excuse was a little weak - he said he was legally not allowed to announce the numbers. A prediction is not an announcement.

But he's forgiven even for the silly explanation because it's quite funny that people believe it.

  • if I make a prediction and reveal those numbers to someone then I am going to jail? Every lottery better should be imprisoned then.

  • Check My ChanneI to see the newest/fuII episodes of Derren Brown!

  • this is amazing

  • (Y) Yeah! Ha ha.

  • i used to think he was amazing, but this new series is all cheap crappy stunts that any idiot could do with camera tricks. The lottery thing was such a build up and it just fell on its arse. An obvious split screen. The fake camera shakes and dumbarse camera flicker to show its real is such bollocks.

  • Hes really smart, I have read his book, and he just doesnt seem the kind of person to go for such cheap trickery which any fool could do.

Thats the only reason why I dont think it was camera tricks. It cheapens his act forever and Im sure he would have been aware of this.

Then again you could be totally right. And if so he will have lost many fans.

  • He's very good at making himself sound better than what he really is! Don't fall for his B.S. He uses alot of stage props, easy trickery, plants and very little of the "Real" Psychology that he claims to use. His greatest trick is convincing millions of people that he's so amazing! And the only people he made stick to their seats during that 1 show were the gulliable people who couldn't bear for him to FAIL! So didn't get up! I'v also read his book and though a good read, there's lots of lies!

  • i think he has lost many fans because of this "illusion." there are many videos that show the most left hand ball, before he turns them around, rising a few mm. this can only be explained by camera trickery. i still think his methods of suggestion are unbelivably good but this was clearly just a camera stunt, nothing else.

  • to everyone who's saying its real... if it was real you would predict the lottery numberss.. BEFORE THEY ARE DRAWN!!! you cant sue someone for taking a guess at the lottery... and to al the retards out there, the lottery closes at 7.30 and is drawn at 10.30 so of course people wouldnt be able to go buy a ticket when he drew them !

  • of cause hehasnt acctually summed it up i his head because if there was a way ofdoing it then there wouldnt be alottery because everyone would do it.Why do you think the money is so big because its like a 1 in a 50 million chance

  • how could he claim that the events ARE the BIGGEST thing he has done so far. they're lousy and utter rubbish.

1st one -> camera trick, then becomes patronising by pretending it's automated writing or whatever crap

    2nd-> for suckers

3rd-> only 30% of that small crowd got concentric circles and the clues were so obvious

    4th-> he failed, ha ha.

  • No dude your SO wrong

    Its all... DEEEEEEEEP maths -.-

Seriously I wish ppl would wake up. Its scary. Anyone that actually got stuck to their seats during his show may as well go join a cult now, or suck satans cock

  • If special effect artists can make an apparent spiderman fly accross new york im sure changing some numbers on a camera isn't an issue.

  • well this is how he did it. The real trick is to predict the lottery results BEFORE they are drawn, not after...

  • How does he guess what numbers people are thinking, or what they have drawn on some paper or there pet dogs name is without even meeting them before? thats pretty amazing.

  • its not easy being the assistant either he cant move the tray or drop any balls

  • Great video, cool effects

  • The assistant wouldnt neccessarily have to write each number on the balls. There could easily just be a bunch of 49 balls in a tray and as they are announced (loudly) off the TV, the asistant puts them in place.

    I prefer David Blaine myself.

BTW, cool vid whoever mad this. thanks

  • It's symbolic, left side Derren's trick = harmless, right side Brown's trick = exploitation. Derren has exposed it as a con.

  • show was a waste of time, he is shit, none of his shit works, no such thing as psychic ability, hes a shit version of david blaine. he tries to hard to convince people that he has powers when really he is just a shit magician

  • No, he repeatedly states that he isn't psychic, has never claimed to be psychic. And isn't a magician, but an illusionist.

  • Brown is full of shit!

  • basically the assistand would write the numbers as they appear on the split screen so we cant see the assistant

why do you think derren brown didn't show us the numbers before

    BRILLIANT TRICK THOUGH

  • because channel 4 wouldnt allow him to some legal issue he claims

  • Yeah Derren does waffle too much. Probably the hypnotist in him; misdirection and magic... no sorry 'magic showmanship' are his words and split screen was the way. I thought the same due to the unnatural camera wobble which was neither normal or subtle. He should keep his tricks simple an quick like his normal show which is pretty good.

  • yeah but they did get the winning nimbers between them

  • yh but it was live

  • It is implying that he had an assistant, not that he actually replaced the balls himself.

  • I always thought it was down to some trickery in an editing program. But u displayed it excelently. Well done!
