lol was stuk on death for a while on lv 1 cap but eventually beat his ass lol him and dracula also gave me a lil problem but nothing we fans cant handle ^^

It'll appear at Vincent's Shop later within the game so your gonna need alot of gold.

So uh. I've started a 1% run from scratch, meaning not a new game plus meaning I have no Ancient armor or powerful weapons or anything.

Do you think I should just give up now

No, continue with it, it's the main reason why Lv.1 Cap was implemented anyway, I guess. Besides clearing it will give you some bragging rights :p

Does Ancient Armor give you insane regeneration rate?

I'm assuming you are talking about the MP. No, Ancient Armor only lets you take 10% of your HP as damage. For the insane regeneration, it's the Magus Ring.

If you want a new game plus, put select the bat beside the cleared game data, it should give you back most of your items.

finish the quest, the whole name of the quest is "Pray before the cross"

How do you get that sword,charlottes book,and the cross boomerang at that point? I'd like to know because I'm stuck at death. And I dont have hard mode yet.

Holy can be bought from Vincent once you get 1000% of the game if I remember correctly. Charlotte's tome of arms 3 is found somewhere in the burnt paradise while the cross can be obtained by finishing pray before the cross quest. BTW, these are all obtained post-Death battle since this one is a new game +.

New Game Plus eh? Play him on Hard Mode Lv.1 Cap using a fresh game, w/out Ancient Armours or ultimate weapons. Then you'll see what a bastard this guy really is.

Maybe I'll try it sometime but I sure know how much damage they can deal and they kill in one hit as well if it weren't for the max ups passed on by new game +. Oh well, I might try it while waiting for OoE's release but I'm onto playing an Online game right now and replaying SotN w/ naked Alucard, so, I don't know. But I probably won't last long w/ a fresh lv 1 XD

I think you should keep at it. Wouldn't wanna lose the momentum in SotN. Great game btw.

But if you do decide to try out this challenge it's not that bad once you get past the 1st painting (Dullahan was more of a nightmare than Death was). The key is making good use of magic and weapons that you never would have had to use in a normal game, as well as maintaining a good supply of potions.

That seems crazy to me, Dullahan was tough for sure but compared to Death he is a piece of cake imo! At least with Dullahan all his attacks are easily avoided once you get the patterns memorized unlike Death's which are extremely random. I would almost agree with the paintings after the first being easier if it wasn't for the damn ghosts in the sand level which caused so many deaths it was embarrising. I still haven't explored all of that painting, think i'll wait 'till I have better gear.
