please i need some help...i need a 3d citiy based on a real city.how much would it cost and how much time would it take for, lets say 2-3 good designers to design it???the city would be 3x3 square kilometers big and you have to be able to walk in this town (not like google street view where you just click trough). Thanks
Typical reason why this state is broke! Force traffic to single lanes and waste a lane for a bus that only comes every 15 minutes! Who is the brilliant person who though of this idea?
they should make electric trolley buses like you see in San Fransisco and put electrical wire over this bus route because its more quiet and friendly enviromental.
@sideslide23 This should just be a streetcar/light rail line. I don't dislike Bus Rapid Transit at all but I think for a distance of this length, I think a streetcar would be much more suitable.
your probably right, the light rail are lot safer than buses driving like that because if the driver not careful, they can crash head on colision because there too close to oncoming buses.
Buses do not re-vitalize urban centers - light rail and street cars do. There should be at least one light rail line and two streetcar lines in downtown Oakland.
Take Portland as a prime example. There has been billions of dollars invested in re-developing the areas surrounding the new transit corridors. The East Bay has the potential to set the bar even higher,
Another point I'd like to make, is that if there is a bus lane specifically, then whats the point of the bus? You might as well make it a light rail system, such as Muni, or VTA.
That is a really good point. You ought to point that out to the authorities before they waste millions of dollars painting logos or buses, shelters and printing
I think a smarter solution would be ERT or perhaps BET even maybe BERT. something along those lines. Thus solving massive confusion in the Bay Area. Then again, I don't think everybody would be so silly as to take BRT and BART the same way. I would also suggest if they keep BRT, then to pronounce it Bert. Like the name.
