You make a lot of sense and I hope that people take your advise and do not neglect their own well being and that of loved ones in order to make credit card payments and such. I like how well thought out and matter of fact that your response was.
like how you calmly expain defaulting you payment to the stinking bankers ...that get money from the fed for free...tax payer bears the burden of debt
I ended up defaulting on my credit card. I was very sick in 2008 and i put my medical bills on my credit card, never missed a payment then they doubled my interest rate. i owe 22.000 and haven't paid in 7 months and doubt i ever will
Credit cards are the worst idea that the banks have ever come up with. It's an unsecured loan. There is no debtors prison in the US for defaulting on one's credit card debt. At some point, people with excellent credit that have seen their interest rates jump from 0% to over 30% will come to realize that continuing to pay the credit card companies is no longer the moral thing to do. If you don't own your own home or car, the right thing to do is to default.
