Aunt Polgara's kitchen should be more chaotic if you have intended for Polgara to be ruling there in the opening credits. XD Otherwise maginficient work! I hope they use you music if they decide to make a movie!
@TheMotherModem Thank you for your kind words. For this piece, I wasn't going for the chaos of the kitchen quite yet, just floating through seeing the characters in the beginning. Pol in her kitchen directing traffic, little Garion on the floor. If I were to fully score the books, there would possibly be a piece to go with a kitchen scene, but in this set, I like some serenity while introducing the characters.
@TheMotherModem Polgara's kitchen was described more as "orderly". I cannot see Polgara letting anything be out of her control! She seems the sort of control freak. Ha ha.
Honestly, this is magnificent work! It is good enough to be the score (musical) if these books were ever translated to the screen in a film! I could see the whole thing vividly, the farm with all the animals and people working the land, Aunt Pol and the servants working away in the cosy kitchen, Durnik pounding away on the anvil in the smithy and Belgarath riding up to the farmhouse in the old cart. (reminicent of Tolkien's shire)
@peskylisa wow, thank you so much for the kind words!!! I really worked at getting that opening credits feel to this piece with the camera moving in and out of the farm meeting each character before we know them.
I love the belgariad and the mallorean and I really wish the Elenium was apart of that series because im now sad that the epic tale of Garion is over. However I have the tale of Sparhawk to look forward to now I suppose
@TheWitchninni Obviously I have XD I have to admit that Belgarath the Sorcerer is an awesome book too. I guess it's too hard to decide which one is your favorite. And I finished the Tamuli which turned out to be a fantasic book as well.
There should be words that flash up from time to time that announce which themes are played and a general description of what is happening. There are no pictures. I was working on sharing my music more than anything,
This is really magnificent. While listening, I could see the scenes unfolding in my head. Like in the beginning, the sun rising over a hill behind the farm and the scene moving in to where Durnik's already been up and working for a while, perhaps smiling and humoring one of the children by explaining the workings. Then following one of the other kitchen workers from where they'd been gathering eggs or such and into the kitchen where anyone who's read the books would recognize Pol immediately.
(cont.) And it wouldn't be from the white lock in her hair, but from her posture and how she'd already be giving orders to the rest of the people preparing breakfast. At her feet, as you say, the scene would move to a very young Garion playing and smiling up at her as though she were his mother. I could almost hear the narration, "My first memories are of the kitchen at Faldor's farm...." Pol looks out the window at a sound and sees Belgarath riding up the path, "Back again, Old Wolf?"
@RojoEduardo Thank you for the kind words. I keep trying to work out a new piece for Salmarissa. I've come up with about five different themes so far, and I really haven't liked one of them. I hope to get one done soon.
Oh my god! It was blank for too long so I stopped the video!!!
