Very few AMV out there make me want to see the anime that inspired the AMV; I remember this one did exactly that. (definitely one of my favorite AMVs and one of the most interesting anime I've ever seen).

This is crazy, I mean this was one of the best AMVs I've seen at the time and for good reason too. I remember when an AMVs used to be crappy DBZ videos set to Linkin Park songs, every now and then some other anime would be used but the quality would be so bad, you could hardly tell what you were even watching. Anime VHS and DVDs were pretty expensive at the time and not sold in many stores, so to see this awesome vid using a very underrated anime with a song nobody's heard of (continued)...

@TheIgDemon Nothing fancy. Magix music maker (had video editing capabilities back in 2002) and MS paint.

@aerendyll Yep. The basic shapes were made in MS paint, then I manipulated them in Magix to create the various effects in the video.

@Koopiskeva What about the moving parts, though? Did you move them using Magix too or frame-by-frame in MsPaint? The latter seems quite daunting, but I'm not sure Magix even allows for moving things over the screen?

@aerendyll Which moving parts? Some were made with the 'object curve effects' (I don't think that's what its named now though, but same idea) in Magix, which allow for keyframed movement. Some others were indeed made frame-by-frame, but then just overlapped/replicated via layers in Magix.
