Buti naman at may mga Pilipino sa ibang bansa na hindi ikinakahiya ang mga sayaw ng Pilipinas. Yung iba nga, nakatungtong lang sa banyagang lupa, eh, wala nang alam mula Pinas.
really? i cant bLiv u guys are from US.. proud of u :D
and to the one who said that "waltz"?! is the traditional dance of the Philippines,, where did that came from?! WTF! maybe u just need to shut up if u dont know anything bout dancing.. :P
during the concert..muntik na kong sumablay noon....he..he...he...pero sabi nila the show must go on kahit may alam kang may mistake ka... i like kasi ung mga bayanihan dance....

they turtured the literature of a dance. then they are not really gud in executing the steps of a dance and are not professional enough to dance. i am a folk dance instructor..
Okay, first of all, we are not claiming to be professional dancers. We are just a bunch of kids ranging from 12-16 years old who wants to learn our parent's native dances. We are born and raised here in the United States and yet we are intereseted to show off our parent's Filipino roots and the people here enjoy our performances. Now, if you say you're a dance instructor and if you don't have anything good to say, please keep it to yourself. Also, try to spell things out correctly.
hi im a folk dancer my whole life... and im really proud of you because though you live there in the US you are not ashamed to show off your filipino roots unlike most of the kids here in Philippines...
I haven't seen one yet. Even my barong tagalog was bought by someone who visited the Philippines. I just saw a website called "MyBarong" but never used it yet so can't recommend it.
I really do appreciate the effort..though Puyazz is right some of the movements are quite not right and i was ready to criticize your group while i was watching it..
but when i found out that you are just a bunch of kids ranging from 12-16 years old at the time this video was taken and that you are born and raised there in the US all i can say is I'M PROUD OF ALL OF YOU..just hope you won't stop appreciating our culture
I don't want to sound mean, but your probably living in the wrong place they do alot of in Cali and Alaska. Maybe 808 being Hawai'i they want 2 stick 2 the Polynesian theme?
we are just kids doing a dance we are proud of..who the hell do you think you are to be judging us?? im not saying we are amazing but we're trying and having fun so go fuck yourself...and btw, we were performing at a festival that asked us to dance again u lil bitch.. and if you have something bad to say, go stick it up your ass instead of being rude >=[ u just pissed me off on easter....*midle finger*
my teacher said that, she just used my account so she can comment on your video... so don't say "lil bitch".. you're having a mistake! you're proud of it I know... because it was a hard dance!
@ChibiLaura Are you still with SK? Asian Festival will be May 28 and 29 this year and the Philippines will be headlining. It would be nice to see SK perform again.

It's somewhat similar to traditional Thai and Lao dance..except Filipinos have been influenced by the Spanish.

this dance calls for graceful balancing acts so that the lights held by the hand will not fall. This dance is originally from Oriental, Mindoro.
