@dracolnyte The running lights are, I guess, meant to look natural but still noticeable. Blue or white was probably deemed distracting. It's fine to be seen, which is what running lights are for, but you don't want to draw the other driver's attention off the road. You may have noticed yourself constantly darting you vision to blue running lights or headlights during the day. But if they are halogens, you can more easily ignore it.
@dracolnyte It results from shooting the car in deep shade early in the morning. In that situation the color temperature is very cool (or blue) causing the white LEDs to appear warmer (or golden). If I were to white balance at standard daylight color temperature (56K) the LEDs would be white as your eye sees it but the picture would be very blue. I often balance the camera 20-30 times during the course of a shoot to compensate for changing light. Still have to often fix it in post though.
The only thing I don't like is that they are quite small!!
