Same formula goes for Equity, Bonds, ETF's, Commodities & Currencies
The total outcome is for you to be prepared to bet enough in a margin to gain (long) back 100% and a futher 30% to lose or (short), it's better to walk away with at least 2 thirds of your profits.
But for those who simply just want the A to B equation, Imagine you lay a bet on the New York Giants to beat the Minnesota Vikings, the odds may not pay as much but imagine if you spread the total stake across the board on both teams to win, draw or lose, this formula means you can't providing that the total profits pays back over the total stake bet on.
But Imagine if every team was bet on like this in the NFL's Schedule
It's not how much you win, but it's winning to make sure u never lose
why should these people be locked up.......you have no idea what you are talking about.........they are extremely bright and see things way beyond politics and economics to make the profits they do
@cavmusicnyc Catch yourself on! The game is clearly rigged. These people are clearly privy to inside information. You just have to look at the number of times they have been tried and convicted, i would suggest inside job(narrated by matt damon). These people are not on the same level as scientists, engineer's or mathematicians, not even close. They are parasites who live off the backs of the innovative and desperate.
@doire7 Alright tough guy, when you get an MBA from LBS and Bloc Party or The Kooks start playing your parties you give me a call and let me know how you feel the world and profiting works.........fyi, the numbers that come out for these guys to make the decisions they do are all coming from exactly that, mathematicians and engineer's..........go read a book
@cavmusicnyc You did not disappoint, alright tough guy?!?! MBA from london business school?!?! Bloc party or the kooks start playing at your parties?!?! Great comeback, really that all made perfect sense. You really want people to take you serious with that incoherent dribble.
Oh and thanks for admitting that mathematicians do all the hard work for these guys.
I really have to disagree, I mean it ain't friggin rocket science or asking you about the concept of String Theory or Dark Matter or Quantum Physics, it's just plain economics, maths and quantative financial science.
all in all it really is a science, and how exactly do they live off backs of the innovative and desperate, the only thing they do is work out how to put your net worth into the most scientific theories of financial mechanics.
Honestly I could show you a lot more strategies, !!
@TubeMastaJedi Well you've got to give these managers some credit. After all, almost every person from this video attended the Ivy League/Stanford. Therefore, it can be concluded that it does require a massive amount of knowledge of the market and that an ordinary person probably wouldn't be able to do as well as these people.
@TubeMastaJedi Ok which one of these guys in the video has phd, masters or even a degree in mathematics? I have not checked but i'd say you'd be hard pushed to find one. "Quantative financial science," in other words mathematics. Why don't you distinguish the parts of QFS that are not mathematics? Make it a good one because everyone on youtube is watching. What a joke you are. You probably actually thought you were being smart. TOOL!
@doire7 What a load of crap. Tried and convicted of what? You must be some young punk that knows nothing about anything. David Harding has a degree in physics and uses number based systems. Take your moral hang ups somewhere else. Only losers believe the game is rigged.
@actionguy60 You are telling me that you did not hear about goldman sachs being fined £100 million by the british govt for mis-selling of the sub primes?!?! So you found one out of ten with a science degree. Good for you. TOOL!
@FlyingNinja11 Why do you think the have to "spend it" all? They don't make money in order to spend it. Their job is to make money for their investors and of course they get well paid if they make a good job, since they are paid based on results. They need to be liquid in order to keep investing. In other words, they need money to make money. The more money you have to invest, the greatest potential return. This is capitalism at its maximum level. Hate the game, not the players...

Thanks for putting together this slide show, I wish there were more multimedia resources like this being created for our industry.
Do you see that recent news piece where a hedge fund manager's bank account receipt showed that he had over $100M in it at one time? Pretty crazy.
