  • Coe the great front runner, Ovett the great racer, Cram the great talent...

  • Excellent run.

  • Coe immediately knew that he had a good chance of winning the LA1500 after this race, that's why the delight. His best run since Aug 81. He was running almost in treacle compared with his shimmering 1:41. Still, he came right away in the homestretch, and to run so apparently stiffly and woodenly and yet to clock 1:43.84!! Rob Harrison always looked like he was running so well, but the times seemed not to show it.

Coe's interview was revealing. He knew exactly what to do to prepare for LA.

  • When Coe was in decent shape his homestretch runs were amazing. When he was in great shape his final 100 meter bursts were incredible.

  • Lol! Very funny! I already have this on my Coe, Ovett & Cram boxed set dvds. Good run though. Last 200 of 25.3. You can just about hear Ron Pickering's "Come on my son" as he crosses the line. Funny. The interview at the end is quite insightful too. 1:43.8 at 80% fitness is pretty good.

  • Sapnin neebur?

Did you throw away the DVD's with Ovett and Cram and just keep the Coe disc?

  • No. I have all of them and their books and various documentaries about them produced and aired in the UK . Based on all that I just think Coe is the better of the 3.

  • deano will blow his load when he get's hold of this lol
