i think the really "shocking" thing is that the picture frame is obviously not a real one. It puts thoughts of "artificial","modern", while we're watching dreaming scenes. imho :p

THANKS ALL!! I created this short with loads of Photoshop work, After Effects, photography, Premiere Pro and a bit of free time. My goal was to submit a more subtle piece that focuses on "how" its presented--focus pulls, sound elements, hispeed photography, and the biggest element...time. I wanted a canvas feel to it. So the film itself is removed from the viewing environment. It is being projected rather than just viewed. i also wanted the film itself to be integrated into the canvas, hence the blending modes. It lives in that environ rather than a nice, cropped, 1.85, viewing experience. it also helps push the image back in space when i defocused the image and the canvas itself came into sharpness. (shoe clip)
