Is that the only way to replace the track ball? It cannot be done by popping it out of the front? Oh jeeeze. Is there a video somewhere illustrating how to reassemble the phone?

It's not a bad phone to work on, trackball is easy enough to swap. You're better off having a new top cover ready, even if done carefully there's a good chance one or more of the clips are going to break. They're only $10 on ebay. Also the camera tends to lift up a little bit when you take the back cover off, push it back into place before reinstalling the back over or you may get the "cannot start the camera" error when you try to use it.

0:55 is wrong you should pull up from under the blackberry name right up the screen otherwise you'll crack the lock were he was pulling under the blackberry name there are 2 little locks that pop with pressure and don't brack. don't do like he did..

Don't buy from this company it's a scam!! I bought a lens for my blackberry and they never sent it!! They are in Hong Kong and took my money via paypal and never sent the lens!! And there is no way to get in touch with them!!! The number they post to call is a recording that just talks Chinese!!

Its poor design on RIM's part to make the trackball so difficult to access. The tour is not anymore complex than the 8900 or Bold.

Holy crap...why is the Tour so much harder to disassemble then the Bold 9000 or 8900? It has like 4-5 connections to take apart...sigh. The 8900 or 9000 have I think 1 at most.
Ya no kidding, I'd love to see it put back together :)

its a very complicated phone with a lot of features and its brand new so they added a crap load of cool things in there so that should be the main reason.
its a blackberry, it it wasnt sturdy why does it cost $500 un-activated
