I have no blurays for my ps3 and theres two reasons for that 1) like you i'm in no hurry to start collecting blurays and replacing my dvd's with them and 2) (probably the main reason) when I get a new dvd or borrow bluray from my uncle, my parents want to watch it too and since my ps3 is the only bluray player in the house its a real hassle untangling all of the wires and bringing it downstairs just to bring it back up after the movie ends.

It really makes me sad that you had so many bad experiences with the ps3, honestly i have had my ps3 for over six years and never had a problem with it besides the blu-ray controls, i hope the ps3 gets better for you from now on.

dude you need a bigger TV for blu-ray i mean i have a 22" and bd's on that look almost the same but whenever i play it on our 46" it looks insane truly insane and i guess the reasoning for that is because they are trying to fit native 1080p on such a small screen so you can't really tell the difference from a regular sitting distance plus you should really play some PS3 games crappy ones like Haze and shit so that 10-15 years later you'll be like the old AVGN like in your xmas episode

Can't stand the "fullscreen widescreen" shit. I have a DVD of the movie Kalifornia which is a double sided DVD and supposed to be one side widescreen and one side 4:3, but they are both formatted to 4:3, the widescreen just has letterbox. Bullfuckingshit.
when james said that the image is crystal clear only if your close to the tv, i think it's cause his tv is a bit small. i have two HDTVs and one of them is slightly bigger than his. the quality of bluray on the smaller one is obviously good, even from regular sitting distance.

The PS3 has some great single player exclusive titles like Metal Gear Solid and Uncharted. Xbox has some good single player games as well, but the main focus is on the multiplayer support. I think I like PS3 more, but that's personal preference, I own both.

Nice lie, they solved the RROD problem with the 360 years ago but eliminated it with the latest model slim model. The slim model is 100% IMMUNE to RR0DS. So either your lying or you bought a cheap ass old 360 off of ebay.

Ps3 is pretty advance. My favorite one out of the 3 consoles today. It has a lot of addicting games. I been thinking about getting a Wii for a few games of interest. but I may wait until more games that attract my interest come out. It and Blu-Ray were released not too long after each other, I'm guessing. HD DVD wasn't around long at all. The time span I heard from it was about a month.
I am on the PS2 side, to date it still has most consoles sold, and the only one even close to it is DS and that portable. As for PS3 vs Xbox 360, the Xbox won, let them take it, Playstation rampaged the first Xbox, and if all else fails the Wii is beating them both.

Technically,if a DVD is able to play in HD,then it's basically an HD DVD.But as for the actual HD DVD format,it's dead.Reason being that only one or two companies owned HD DVD,while a bunch of companies,including Sony,owned Blu Ray.So,since Blu Ray had more companies supporting it,it kicked HD DVD's ass.

For a good PS3 game, I recommend Folklore. A loose explanation of it being that it's a loose mix between Ghostbusters & Kirby with an art direction that looks sort of like Tim Burton, & with a story set as a supernatural murder mystery (with each protagonist having a unique quirk, Ellen being able to find alternate costumes that give her bonuses and Keats being able to go Super Saiyan).

Nice lie, they solved the RROD problem with the 360 years ago but eliminated it with the latest model slim model. The slim model is 100% IMMUNE to RR0DS. So either your lying or you bought a cheap ass old 360 off of ebay.

@Basketalbi yeah i mean those stories are pretty over the top and im pretty sure they are exaggerating about it but still the slim still has its own set of problems not as much as the older ones but it still has a chance of getting the RLOD or RDOD or whatever they call it plus the disk scratching still a great system though

@TheHumbleTinkerer hell no dude he must've gotten a defective model I play my PS3 quite consistently and never had any problems with it I did get a YLOD on my first PS3 but I freaking dropped the thing once so it had an excuse for breaking down on me everyone's experiences are different and i don't really think its fair to bash a console just because you got a defective one the same things will happen to the 360 and wii even the older systems thats why they give out warranties dude

I have never had a problem with the PS3. Like the ones you potray in the vide (strange audio settings that dont allow you to hear, ect.). I guess I'm lucky that way... :D

And the PS3 hasn't even reached it's full graphics capacity because it can handle better graphics!

My only problem with the PS3 Blu-Ray is that whenever im watching a Blu-Ray, THE SCREEN IS SO DARK!!! If you've watched Harry Potter 6 where Harry is chasing Bellatrix, you can barely see anything! You have the max the fuck out of the brightness to see anything. Does this happen with anyone else?

Ps3 is pretty advance. My favorite one out of the 3 consoles today. It has a lot of addicting games. I been thinking about getting a Wii for a few games of interest. but I may wait until more games that attract my interest come out. Plus I'm unsure about motion controlling but I'm still considering the Wii. As for xbox360 it has nothing to offer for me. Just a waste of money in my eyes,Plus I have a gaming pc too so I have a huge library of games.

I am on the PS2 side, to date it still has most consoles sold, and the only one even close to it is DS and that portable. As for PS3 vs Xbox 360, the Xbox won, let them take it, Playstation rampaged the first Xbox, and if all else fails the Wii is beating them both.
The Console wars died time ago, now we have a blue ray player, a p*n*s extension and a playground. Take your pick. But when it comes down to it, there is no point cause they aren't even in the same categories anymore.

Technically,if a DVD is able to play in HD,then it's basically an HD DVD.But as for the actual HD DVD format,it's dead.Reason being that only one or two companies owned HD DVD,while a bunch of companies,including Sony,owned Blu Ray.So,since Blu Ray had more companies supporting it,it kicked HD DVD's ass.

I'm saying this only. For current generation, Wii has the Best design, mainly because it doesn't get a blinking light if it's dead. PS3 is second because it's long durribility. 360 is in last because of the Red Ring of Death. 360 slim isn't better because of another problem. The Red Dot of Death.

For a good PS3 game, I recommend Folklore. A loose explanation of it being that it's a loose mix between Ghostbusters & Kirby with an art direction that looks sort of like Tim Burton, & with a story set as a supernatural murder mystery (with each protagonist having a unique quirk, Ellen being able to find alternate costumes that give her bonuses and Keats being able to go Super Saiyan).
