  • This has been a chronically recurring problem in North Jersey all my long life. For such a densely populated area (with such excruciatingly high property values and real estate taxes), they have the crappiest flood control planning I've ever seen anywhere in these United States.

    The running joke when I used to live in Lodi was that two days of heavy rain and you can go fly-fishing on Main Street.
