  • Because anyone can put any argument in deductive form are all forms DEDUCTIVE? well if you think the form alone makes the argument deductive then you better answer Yes to the above question. If all arguments can be made deductive, then all arguments are deductive. An inductive argument can be formed as dedeuctive. Therefore, all arguments (including inductive) are deductive. surely there is more to deduction than the form such as deduction deals with certainty and induction is not certain.

  • Well, this is entertaining but not accurate. Deduction and induction are forms of reasoning. The terms refer to arguments alone. You are using a slang with these words. Deduction is not complete, but your understanding of induction is correct. You express whenever one follows rules then he or she is using deduction.This is NOT always true: I follow my mothers household rules to avoid consequences as punishment. This is not deductive. Sure you can present ANY argument in deductive form.
