You should be MORE concerned with how women behave, because it affects how you're perceived in society. Right now, yes, women are less likely to commit sexual battery on a child. But unless this is brought out in the open, and we condemn it instead of dismissing it, who is to say that this won't become a common and acceptable occurrence in our society?

Women who date younger men cool, but self proclaimed cougars are fucking pathetic who men their own age want nothing to do with. Most young guys use cougars for easy sex, as a sugar mama, a place to stay, and someone who will cook for them. They dont want a real relationship with them and these women subconciously know it. Everyones best bet is to date people your own age.

I dont have a problem with women dating younger men, but starting an actual "COUGAR MOVEMENT" and "eliminating the double standard" is all BS. When women are young they only want to date older guys because they say their more mature, so how much sense does it make for a 40 year old women to want to date a 20 year old? If she was too mature for him when she was that age, isnt she much too mature now? Theres absolutely no logic in it at all.

Over the years I've observed this idea of older men being more mature as that maturity being more likely/easily able to provide for them. They want to be drive around, catered to, paid for, as princesses. Men in the 20th and 21st century paradigm of "equality" isn't really equality; it's continuing the male's facilitation of the little girl needs which some women, including cougars, hold onto.

Either way at the end of the day it's a different means to the rote end.

This whole "cougar" trend started with Mary Kay Letourneau. Instead of condemning her as the vile disgusting human being she is who deserted her family and children to have a sexual romp with a 13 year old boy, the liberal media turned her into a folk hero and gave her a "You go girl" ovation. Then Sex and the City as well as Desperate Housewives, American Pie, and many others that cemented the idea.

what a breath of fresh air in this dumbed-down, social networked obsessed, plastic society we currently live in. As a parent of two boys, the idea of a "cougar" is detestable. Just as the reality of older male predators preying on girls.

I agree with previous comments alluding to the fact that the entertainment industry & media at large is partially responsible by glorifying this behavior. Combine that with a narcissistic trend in our society and lack of morals and voilà - you've got cougar.

While I agree that the whole feminist movement has gone out of control and morphed into an entirely different beast, I don't agree that the whole goal of the feminist movement was the subjugation of men. Some of the by-products were positive: right to votes, greater workplace equality, better laws in regard to sexual harassment/violence...etc.
