  • Mc6000 is best to mix your own stuff.

  • 2 machines that will top these are Numark NS6 and Vestex 400. Both great machines with all the options these 4guys have plus more. really solid build and responces, with back up outputs for other devives and for vinyl DJ's Numark NS6 will make you feel right at home. I own both and their both perfect machines.

  • I still haven't moved past vinyl, have a huge collection going back to the end of the 80's. Spun in the rave scene through out the 90's. Sort of retired from it in 2000. Looking to a) convert my massive collection to digital format b) use the converted files in a digital DJ system. All the options out there are mind boggling. I've come across so many options. Including the various software programs, midi controllers, and so on. I do not want something basic, and I'd like to as a vinyl feel

  • At the end, what is the final ranking Scott ? Scoooott ????

    1. Pinoneer DDJ-T1

    2. NI Kontrol S4

    3. Denon DN-MC6000

    4. A&H Xone DX

  • denon for kareoke? im sold. fuckin love that shit

  • What about the American Audio VMS4.1? I think the new edition is good enough to stay in competition ;)

  • Where can I get that shirt?

  • which one is best for the club scene?

  • Hey Scott, Im just starting to dj im going be spinning house and i also want to get into producing. I was thinking in getting the tkontrol s4 just because my fav dj uses it porter robinson but my experienced friend thats a dj said I should go with the ddj- t1 pioneer what do you think??

  • @MrEricnelson100 Pioneer haven't been in the digital / MIDI game for a long, I woulden't go with their gear, they are losing sales from people moving from CDJ's to digital and now they want a slice of the cake, no offence to your dj friend but a lot of people go with Pioneer equipment because of the brand name. Stick with your passion, if your fav DJ uses the S4, go with it. If you want to do producing, the S4 is far more creative. Choose wisely but most of all have fun!

  • & the best??

    1st-Pioneer.

    2nd- ...

    thanks!

  • @TheSpanishGsRap dennon 1st place...thanks !!

  • hehe you look like Hulk of FC porto

  • DDJ-T1 does a booth output

  • I prefer S4...

  • yeah and more effects :)

  • ddj t1 or s4 ?

    Which should I choose?

  • @3RR0000000000R definitely S4! Most possiblilities & best software-hardware solution!

  • @GermanTechnoBoy Why?

  • @3RR0000000000R Because Traktor as well as the S4 are products from NI. This is why it works best together. NI built the S4 as close as possible to the software, it was designed for the software. They even made a special S4 version of Traktor. However, Traktor is the leading software on the market, and therefore the best. I don't regret it at all that I've bought the S4 :-)

  • @GermanTechnoBoy and what do you think of the numark ns6 or the mixdeck?

    kannst du deutsch ? :-D

  • check your inbox ;-)

  • I'm sold

Kontrol S4 best for mashing up tracks!

  • new s4 mix up

  • Does the pioneer have a sample bank ?

  • Can anyone talk to me about using the midi in outs on the s4 or dx? I'm interested in pluging in a dsi tetra!!!! Using midi clock to sync - I can't find anyone using the midi in and out connections ? Anyone?

  • what would you suggest between the ns6 or the s4? i have a ns7 right now but im looking to be more mobile.....im thinking s4 is the best for being mobile

  • so if my computer freeze with whichone i can use a cd player ?

  • i want to learn to dj and mix what should i start out with for a beginner?

  • @Dfektivhart me too

  • im 15 and always wanted to be a dj i just recently got a job to be a dishwasher so i can save up for some equipments, i prefer vinyl but i dont know much , can someone help me out please? :D

  • Sure just PM me and i will give you as much info as i can.

  • @DjCheffolo I'd say definitely start with turntables/vinyl, then eventually work on up to cdj's. It's always best to learn all the true dj skills on turntables first then if you'd like to advance to other equipment you'll always have the REAL technical skills to fall back on. And believe me you can get extremely creative on turntables and it will be you doing things! Bottom line is enjoy yourself, and good luck in all your future endeavors.

  • @housemanchi haha alright thanks man! im just having trouble choosing what to get! Id prefer mixing dubstep, and i reall dont know what to start off with

  • @DjCheffolo nummark mixtrack pro thats where i started

  • There are technical skills AND creative/artistic skills. With old technology (Vinyl) you had to concentrate on both. Now all brainpower can go into being creative. That is FACT. NOW, my opinion is creativity is more important than technical know how. I used records in the past, now I am happy with todays tech advancements to say the least. Gives me more ability to be creative. Don't let your naiveness hinder you =)

  • this guy dosent know what the hell he's talking about

  • Hi, i'm a amateuristic music producer who uses alot of software products...I want to use more harware products...but I have absolutely no experience whatsoever...Is there any Products that you can recommend for a starter? I love wroking with loop/effects and make alot of dubstep..... cheers ;)

  • some people do it for money put its Fun!!!!!!!!!

  • why the F is everyone talking about how good they are becuz the spin with TT ect. in the end it's al about the music. And BTW not all the Digital DJ's use the Sync button.

  • @rutierut Last time i checked i was giving my opinions about certain equipment, not talking about how good i am! And BTW Digital Wannabe's are WEAK!!!

  • DDJ S1 VS NUMARK NS6!!!!

  • Controllers=Fake=Phony=Junk=Garbage! Rather see someone throw down on the turntables with vinyl!!! Respect it much more! My Opinion!

  • @housemanchi Can you explane me what's fake about controllers??

  • @rutierut Try spinning on turntables using vinyl and i'll guarantee you'll learn what i'm talking about!

  • @housemanchi vinyl is fun, and its cool, but you can do way more....music is about the sound

  • @415Dub How did you formulate this opinion? I take it your an accomplished DJ on all forms of media and equipment!

  • @housemanchi formulated by going to shows, hearing people spin, hearing what you can do with traktor, spinning myself, producing....you can have 4 sampling decks in traktor, mixing hella shit at once, shits so dope...i like the warmth that vinyl provides, but what you can do with traktor is far superior, in MY opinion...

  • @415Dub Your able to do those things but it's artificial cause it's only capable because of the program! How's that the dj really doing something? Turntable/Vinyl djing takes real talent that i just don't see with controllers and programs! Sorry but i just can't agree with your opinion's! That's my opinion and you have a right to yours! I will write no more on the matter, thanks for the discussion.

  • @rutierut If you wanna learn to do something that takes a higher level of skill then learn on turntables/vinyl! If you want something easy or the lazy way then a controller is the way to go. I'm beginning to see the youngsters prefer easy! But the bottom line is do what you like, i'm just stating my personal opinions.

  • The program/controller does alot of the real work for you! It eliminates alot of the skill involved!

  • @rutierut everything!!!

  • @housemanchi Seriously man, digital has so mutch more potential, i'm sorry.

p.s. go find a life instead of posting on this vid all day

p.p.s. and tel me people like ean golden are no good DJ's

  • @rutierut That's Your Inexperienced opinion idiot!

p.s. Don't ask ?'s if you can't handle the answers!

And finally if you don't know a damn thing than SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE!!!

  • @housemanchi ok, cool, have fun listening to boring as hell pre recorded vinyl. with little to no sampling... or you could have a controller that has a b line track and up to 8 dif loops at once anywhere from 0-48 seconds long... where the artist can do what ever the hell he wants. get your head out of your ass you smug ass hipster.

  • @ddogthepimp I can do so many creative things on turntables with vinyl, it's sad but i'm sure i'm talking about things you wouldn't understand!!! Seems as though you have alot to learn!!! Keep trying and get your brainless head out of your ass and maybe you'll learn something, but i doubt it!

  • @housemanchi holy shit... and i probably haven't even heard of any of the music you listen to... get my head out of my ass? im not the one hiding behind the fact that i know more than someone else...seriously mate... yes vinyl looks better but you cant do NEARLY as much as you can with controllers. many professionals dont even use turntables. they use things like the monome.

  • @ddogthepimp No what you mean is you can have a program and controller do all the work for you! I'm not into easy, sorry but simplicity is not my thing! I enjoy challenges!!! Who cares what kind of stuff some program can do for you!!! I'd rather do it skillfully myself! Twisting knobs and pressing buttons isn't my idea of djing sorry! And i'm also sorry if you haven't heard the music that pretty much started it all! Miyagi says you have alot to learn young daniel-son!

  • @housemanchi Theres so much you can do with traktor that isnt possible just spinning. It may take more skill your way, but the possibilities of what you can do are way cooler to hear, and im more about the sound than watching the guy spin, and so are most people.

  • @415Dub So you've played on turntables? Just in case you aren't aware there are endless ways of being creative on turntables. I agree it's about the sound and a good turntable/vinyl dj can sound as good or better than anyone else and it doesn't matter what format their using!

  • @415Dub Also what is your background in music? Do you DJ? Have you worked on the production end of music? I appreciate how you you respectfully make your argument, and you have the right to your opinion, But i totally disagree!

  • @ddogthepimp So when you gather some true knowledge, then come talk to me. Until then FORGETTABOTTIT!!!

  • how cost ?

  • winner is debateable accd'g to this, but xone definitely loses

  • the NI Traktor S4 does not come along with Traktor Pro...It comes with Traktor S4 software in which Traktor 2 technology is based on..if you watch more videos on NI site you will se that the differences between S4 and Traktor 2 technology are tiny..;-) i am a traktor user since 2004 and i think i will never change my faith...for me Traktor is what i want...

  • @djspiso2 S4 buyers get Traktor 2 for free if they register their S4.

  • @djspiso2 i comes with a update for traktor scratch pro 2

  • Cheers Karl, really informative vid! ... think i've made my mind up that the DDJ-T1 is the one for me!

  • hey karl, i have a question about the S4

can u tell me why everytime i activate the "keylock"

the tone and sound of the current track im playing goes "lower" and sounds awkward? is there a way to change that ? i want it to sound original.

I've tried NI forums but it's hard to get a definite response, thanks :)

  • QUESTION: Could you please give me a quick comparisson between the Pioneer DDJ-T1 vs. Numark NS6? Please and thank you, it should be so much help and greatly appreciated!

  • with regards 2 the scratch sound, is the denon mc6000 as good as the pioneer ddj1?? i have a denon 3500 but the scratch does not sound as good as the pioneer...

  • if the s4 is to big for booths (imo it isnt) then the ddj-t1 is definitely to big to be used in clubs

  • what is a booth output and what exactly does it do? sorry for the noob question.

  • @fraserlb Monitors so you can hear what the people hear.

  • Great review.

  • Great videos Scott! Please keep doing them! Do you think the the itch software from serato will get video anytime soon?
