Unfortunately, at that point (the third dot) everything is just luck. To be honest, most of my games are about 45 seconds long... if things aren't going well, I restart and try again.
My current high score is like 409k, and that comes from switching to what I call the "Japanese start". (As I first saw the technique being used by high-scoring Japanese players.)
Check out the high score runs of user AKRdimahoo. Using that starting method, you get a bit more control over how the ghosts move during that first run. It's still more luck than skill at that point, though.
My suggestion is to only go after ghosts when you're at the points where you can get a lot in one quick sweep. The beginning, the close group of six power pellets afte the keys and candy, those points. Otherwise, chasing ghosts if you're only going to be able to get two or three is a waste of time, especially if you have to use up a lot of time getting them.
Race through most of the mazes, saving your time for those points I mentioned above, when you can easily eat 20+ ghosts in one run.

damn. try as I might I can't get the blue ghost to go right when it comes out of the ghost house on the third power dot.
I dunno how you do it, but kudos. 335 is my best so far.
