Fine old Merc! Do you know whether it's possible to shift the lower unit/gearbox between all the Mercury 75 models? I have one from 1971 (I think) that I've need to change the gearbox on but I can't find a Mercury 75 for spare parts from that exact year of manufacturer. Thanks!

@BlazingRabbit the intake on this motor is right under the horizontal fin, so it's ok. You can see it pulling water in the video. I just looked at used boat with this motor. I suspected the water pump was bad, this video confirmed it for me. Thanks for the vid!!
