Come to think of it, I'm pretty damn sure I've been there before, but I don't really recall any nastiness...well, aside from being blatantly ignored by the girls excluding when they brought our menus, then our order. Does that count? xD
I'd be, like, pro at this job. "Haha, you actually came, you loser?? Whatever..hurry and sit, already!" "Oh, you're leaving? Oh, come again, kay?" Hmm it'd be hard when they're leaving..I'm reaaally good at treating people like crap, but I'm not so good at being nice.. >.>
The first girl [short hair] said something like "Why did you come?" and the guy was like "E??? o _ O ; "
Then she said something like "Hurry up and sit *points to chair in front of her*"
The second girl [glasses] said something about him being late and, since he's in a cosplay-ish-cafe-thinger he's playing along and pretending he's just rushed home. Basically it's like role play fun for most of the people that go there.
ya the woman (pretending to be his younger sister) complains to him about something. and he apologizes for it. can be something like "why are u so late?"
When I heard of a cafe where the waitresses treated you like dirt, and when you left, were either sad to see you go, or cheery that you were there at all, I though it would be ridiculous, and too hard to pull off in the short time you're there, whilst in an anime, the series could take a year 'in-game' and 'out-of-game' could be 8 hours (excluding OPs, and endings). Then I just decided it was awesome.
i'm guessing they're in character. they might be cosplaying different anime characters in maid outfits so they're acting like the characters? maybe? they do it in Lucky Star anyways...
its a cafe in which they act like your little sister, so you come in and u get something 'hey where were you you'r late' or something (it might depend on the time you come in) and you leave and get "see you later ^_^" (this is what i think, i dont understand japanese fully yet but the description says younger sister and i think i kno what goes on in those types of cafes. i might be wrong tho
yeah but all the waitresses are acting differently so they might have chosen different anime waitresses and acting as them. or just pretending to have different personalities so the customers can choose hoe they wanna be treated? xD i love japanese. it's so hilarious. xD
I sincerely doubt that. Not just that your friend lifted the skirt but that your friend ever went to Japan. Actually I 'm also doubting whether you have friends. ^_^
tundere or tsundere? º_º

@HaruLemon It's Tsundere. :)

I thought the idea of a cosplay cafe was really cool until I realized waitresses only dress up as maids. That's so boring and more on the pervy side.
