To those putting negative and questioning why the family is smiling...I think maybe the family is from Tonga. I know my family (in Hawaii) they smile and take pix w the loved one (while in the casket). It is not traditional in the U.S. but it is to us. I kinda don't understand the drama and why people have to put negative comments. Different cultures deal with things differently. Just show some respect.

We native Americans have a smiling and laughing at funeral tradition not because we aren't hurting but because we believe the warrior has returned to God. as a mother who has lossed my first born son son, and had to bury him myself, i could feel the love these parents had for their sweet baby. i was 6 mionths pregnant when i lost my baby and its a pain no mother should have to endure that pain. the smiles were more than likely from having the pleasure to have known such a precious little girl, if even short lived

@maiahlynn In some Hispanic cultures we cry during the birth and celebrate the death. I know it sounds confusing but its just something we do differently. We don't allow people to cry during the funeral, we just tell them to go outside for a while. Obviously not everyone follows this, just something different. I'm not saying these people are hispanic... just something you guys should know.
