I stumble across this video from time to time and i've come across it over a four year time frame. I like to see this guy play even just messing around. I play guitar to and the one thing this guy had was an ear for tone. His guitar set up had to be perfect to get those squeels and sounds from the pick up. An obvious EVH fan who had to have practiced countless hours. R.I.P, your friend seemed like a good guy. Played a mean guitar even if he was just jamming
@taekwondocanada Sigh, you're obviously an ignorant person, that's obvious. But you also show your intellect How about you read the videos info and then revisit your comment. Regardless, this comment is just so opposite of the truth it's laughable and leads to me to believe you are just a trouble maker who likes to throw a wrench into things to see it unfold.
@Spymoni Most people assume this is Ron playing at his peak, and it was Ron screwing around going a mile a minute from one thing to the next purely to entertain us in the room. Little did Ron know that this would end up online. He died before I put it up.
I'm 40 years old with wife and 4 kids. Back in the day, Van Halen was my favorite band (just ahead of Iron Maiden, Boston, Ozzy, Motley Crue, Ratt, Judas Priest, The Scorpions, etc.). I'm sorry to hear this guy died. His video of jamming is absolutely fucking awesome. I would have loved to been there. I think our music tastes were right on. I haven't read the past comments, but it sounds like they were disrespectful. .....Fuck off to those who can't respect the dead or appreciate a good jam!!!!
@TopGun8993 Thank you for your comment. You seem to be someone Ron would have enjoyed spending time with. As to the past comments, there were some doosies I'll say....it never seems to amaze me...even recently, check it out.

stop being dicks... he is a good guitar player...if you could play like that you wouldn't be so bastards so shut up and go comment somewhere else if you don't like it...
in terms of technical prowess and general feel, this guy is by far the closest thing to Eddie I've ever seen. Pretty awesome. It seriously sucks that he passed away :(
Did one of you know EVH personally? Just curious how you were able to get ahold of his guitars and amps. .... This guy could obviously play! .... God bless!
it is said talen never dies and Ron's off spring will take his place in the world , God granted Ron something that he own'ed I won't say rest in peace but PARTY with God he love's talen'ed people he put here on Earth ,,,,,,,,,, ROCK HARDY RON
I wish people would just rock out and post things like this. It seems you have too many Jack Johnson copy~Cats w/ everyone playing acoustic. ANYONE can strum a chord but it takes RAW talent to do what this guy is doing. I dare anyone to post a video 1/2 as good as this. What a tragedy to leave this world at 39, Thank you for this video
@jasonah26 although I agree with a part of your comment I do not agree that anyone can strum a chord. Technically, yeah, I can teach you how to strum the G chord but let's face it, it takes talent either way to write music. Ron could play amazingly, shredding and fingering, he was fast and agile at his peak, could lay down the parts in perfect time ,still yet he always said he wished he could play music like me, and I said the same of him.
@jasonah26 cont' .....So, it's all subjective. He excelled in this area of guitar playing, but yet wasn't great at coming up with the best chord progressions, melodies and arrangements. He was great! He is my first cousin and was a like a brother to me. You can watch my self produced music video here "Sincerity"
@yourtubeormytube Well I'll agree with you that playing other peoples music is one thing but being original and inspired to make up your own songs and riffs is something else. With YouTube- a lot of my friends attempt to pick up a guitar and play chords after a weeks practice but anything more than chords- they can't! I'm glad you have a great memory like this to share and wish people could see the joy this guy had rocking out and goofing around.
He was a truly talanted and gifted person. You can practice your whole life and if you lack the love for the instrument, the passion, all is in vein. I can hear the passion he had in his playing.
If he really is deceased.....that's a total drag. It would've been cool living next to this dude, hearing him cranking it all the time ! Huge VH fan......he nails the intro to Mean Street !!! Nice job........
This guys playing was near genius and obviously cut down in life while still in his prime....his playing touched me and alot of others down under here in OZ
with some people repetitiveness suck(not me i could play a 5 chord progression all day lol) but people like this guy get bored fast, pkus he looks like hes showin off 4 his buds so its not like hes on stage
Ron died so young, you cannot help but wonder how he passed away. He looks so young and vibrant. Was it an accident? It reminds me of Danny Gatton, also known as the best unknown guitarist who also died way to soon, SRV & Hendrix to name a few more.
Yeah, I prefer the Fender clean tone amplifier and a Telecaster with Danny Gatton hot rails by Joe Barden. The older I get the cleaner I play. The chain saw tone gets old and seems less musical.
well ym gutiar used to have annoying feedback and even with low gain u heard feedback and it was because of the wiring so i got it fixed and i got gibson bustbucker pickups and it sounds really good, i play through a marshal avt150 halfstack, it has alot of gain but i dont really use it at mroe than master volume 3 and nomral overdrive volume on 10, and whats the chainsaw tone??
Some great playing right there! so sorry for your loss! R.I.P Ronny

Fluid and effortless, how it should be.
And those girls in the background ARE annoying and drunk, what's wrong with that? Sounds like a typical crowd to me =)

I wish people would just rock out and post things like this. It seems you have too many Jack Johnson copy~Cats w/ everyone playing acoustic. ANYONE can strum a chord but it takes RAW talent to do what this guy is doing. I dare anyone to post a video 1/2 as good as this. What a tragedy to leave this world at 39, Thank you for this video
jasonah26 2 years ago 2
i agree anyone can play other ppl's songs. but it takes talent to make sumthin, kids dnt get it.
joshmacisaac18 2 years ago
@jasonah26 although I agree with a part of your comment I do not agree that anyone can strum a chord. Technically, yeah, I can teach you how to strum the G chord but let's face it, it takes talent either way to write music. Ron could play amazingly, shredding and fingering, he was fast and agile at his peak, could lay down the parts in perfect time ,still yet he always said he wished he could play music like me, and I said the same of him.
yourtubeormytube 1 year ago
@jasonah26 cont' .....So, it's all subjective. He excelled in this area of guitar playing, but yet wasn't great at coming up with the best chord progressions, melodies and arrangements. He was great! He is my first cousin and was a like a brother to me. You can watch my self produced music video here "Sincerity"
yourtubeormytube 1 year ago
@yourtubeormytube Well I'll agree with you that playing other peoples music is one thing but being original and inspired to make up your own songs and riffs is something else. With YouTube- a lot of my friends attempt to pick up a guitar and play chords after a weeks practice but anything more than chords- they can't! I'm glad you have a great memory like this to share and wish people could see the joy this guy had rocking out and goofing around.

He was a truly talanted and gifted person. You can practice your whole life and if you lack the love for the instrument, the passion, all is in vein. I can hear the passion he had in his playing.
MrBatch73 2 years ago
If he really is deceased.....that's a total drag. It would've been cool living next to this dude, hearing him cranking it all the time ! Huge VH fan......he nails the intro to Mean Street !!! Nice job........

He really was a great guitar player and he deserved this space.
Is that guitar signed by Eddie?
zoog1234 2 years ago
That's some pretty sick playing. He had the tapping down.
He died 3 months before I started playing guitar. :( I'm 15 now.
AsAngelsFall221 2 years ago 3
From his playing style I am going to guess he died in his late 30s to mid 40s? About 42?
Sorry for your loss...
Lagomort 2 years ago
Ron died so young, you cannot help but wonder how he passed away. He looks so young and vibrant. Was it an accident? It reminds me of Danny Gatton, also known as the best unknown guitarist who also died way to soon, SRV & Hendrix to name a few more.
FutureTimes 2 years ago
WHY LOL I THOAGHT FEEDBACK WAS BAD...my guitar used to have feedback but i fixed and now its kooh....no feedback
tcherassi1 2 years ago
Yeah, I prefer the Fender clean tone amplifier and a Telecaster with Danny Gatton hot rails by Joe Barden. The older I get the cleaner I play. The chain saw tone gets old and seems less musical.
FutureTimes 2 years ago
well ym gutiar used to have annoying feedback and even with low gain u heard feedback and it was because of the wiring so i got it fixed and i got gibson bustbucker pickups and it sounds really good, i play through a marshal avt150 halfstack, it has alot of gain but i dont really use it at mroe than master volume 3 and nomral overdrive volume on 10, and whats the chainsaw tone??
tcherassi1 2 years ago
Excessive gain and overdrive. Look up Danny Gatton on here then Metallica and you will get the clean and clear picture.
FutureTimes 2 years ago
and...chainsaw tone is...bad??
