  • Today: this is my favorite and most melancholy CVB song -

  • Tomorrow!!! Here in New York Fuckin' City....!!!!!

  • this song will forever remind me of simpler and more beautiful times in my life & the man who was my best friend, co-worker and constant companion..of cooking his favorite dinner, which (at the time) was precisely as described in the lyrics. still brings me to tears after all these years.

  • Excelente banda

  • I wore my KLP tape out back in the day from playing it so much and this song was a big reason why. Such a subtle little classic with hypnotic guitar work. The verses around the "she pulls her dress over her head" are my top fav. Anyway, CVB is solely responsible for a musical awakening in me in college in eighties prior to which my musical taste was sh!t.. No one I knew back them listened to them.

  • I can't think of a better love song. It didn't work on the first woman I wanted to marry but it was for the best.

  • Wow I forgot how good this is....The guitar work is just amazing.

  • Complete musical perfection.

  • Has been my favourite song since the late 80's. Classic CVB.

  • The absolute greatest love song ever written.

  • The greatness of song sneaks up on you. I saw CVB at the Starry Plow in Berkeley, CA in 1986. Have loved them ever since

  • One of my favorite albums of all time!!

  • such a good song. thank you camper van. I madeout with your bass player once. it was great too.

  • With CORN!!!!!! Roommate came home after hearing this on a mix he put together and raved about the fact that the word corn was used. I rank this as one of my fave love song, regardless of the questionable subject.

  • I got in an argument with my brother about his copy of this album on a key lime colored tape, it was his, but I wanted/needed it more than anything.....

  • 300songs.com

  • heart breaking. wish more people knew this album and band.

  • CVB opening for REM back in the day - wished CVB played more.

  • This is prolly my favorite CVB song. Lyrically their most complicated song.

  • @sigmund5

Have you listened to any other CVB songs? Cuz this is far from their most complicated. To me, it's a pretty straight forward, sweet, and touching love song....

  • thanks for this video bro

  • A sweet and even sexy song, the yin-yang mysteries of Eros

  • Wow, CVB and Modest Mouse...damn

  • im with ya bro! too bad more people dont "get it" i would consider it a great loss. I almost wouldnt be me if i had never heard this before.

  • I agree totally with that sentiment lapdog. To think, this came out TWENTY YEARS AGO, and it still gives me goose bumps whenever I listen to it.

Going to see the combo Cracker/Camper show in Chicago in January--I'm beside myself with excitement...

  • Saw them as the opening act for Dire Straits in 1986 or 87 at SDSU in San Diego. They had so many great songs ...

  • i love camper van beethoven awesome in concert saw them with modest mouse best concert ever

  • @idkmybff4 Those are two of my favorite bands ever, never knew they played together. Wish I saw that.

  • @idkmybff4 That sounds awesome. Saw Cracker at Belly up in Del mar Ca Still would like to see Camper one day.

  • @idkmybff4 i was there to see Modest Mouse and ended up a bigger CVB fan. They put on a better show, too.

  • @idkmybff4 WHEN WAS THIS?! That would be like The Doors and The Beatles doing a concert together!!!!
