Great video. You see this same effect, misrepresented as some sort of amazing charging going on. All too often, in fact, and by people that I personally think, no better, and owe it the "newbies" out there to at very least, show people a charge that begins at max. 11.0 volts
@KyleCarrington dont get me wrong, a lot of people are seeing that charge really happening, but not all of them. some of them know it and some dont. but if you dont pay close attention to things like this these already-inconclusive battery tests become even less conclusive. im only putting what that crappy meter tells me is around 100mA into the battery. it wouldn't make much sense for it to be able to full charge the battery from dead in under 5 hours, even 10 maybe.
@Magneticitist I agree, the whole business is rather inconclusive. The SSG has it's merits. Took me a year to see it, but at the end of the day, what other charger can you take 30% of the batteries at the dump, bring them back to life, and do it with a 5 watt solar panel. Which, in the end, has kept me interested.
@MrAnguswangus lol of course! but what i mean in this video sometimes the battery can be tricky.. that "memory" effect is like the best thing i can describe it as..
i just know because before i wouldn't watch the batts so closely and sometimes i'd be like "whoa wtf? that was fast" then other times it would take hours longer to get to the same level, from the same level. the memory stuff is all i can think off. its like volts dont always mean how many amps are in there basically
@Magneticitist Sorry, once again I failed to transfer more than 1% of my thoughts into type. You did a good job and I understood what you were saying, there are a lot of misleading videos out there...intentional or otherwise. No matter the subject tangient that we take here on YT, in order to be "informed," we have to be good sifters of mis-information. Take my vids for example, all scams!...lol.
@MrAnguswangus confusion over measurements has been a big topic of mine lately.. im not saying anyone does it on purpose, but people could if they wanted, and its good to be able to better tell when they are purposefully taking bad measurement. but i think the main thing is that in most measurements people think the voltage level is always going to be linear with an amp output level, or Ah level i should say. and dude how can your vids all be scams, they're all horses nowadays farmer jed
Hi Magneticitist.I see what you are saying and a big Thumbs up ! Always something cool to learn and that's a fact. ! Keep at and thank you for sharing....Tec
Ryan, this vid brings out the real "resting" voltage of the charged battery. Good work!
Can you do this test? Take both charge leads off the battery immediately after you turn off the circuit. Also, take off the meter so that there is no draw whatever on the battery. After some period of time, quickly measure the voltage and remove the meter. What is the new voltage? Where does the "lost" electrons in the battery go to? I.E., what causes the voltage to drop?

The shack used to be good a long long time ago. I walk there daily when I was young. They slowly went all phones and left the hobbyist scene.

Do you think that the high voltage output from the bedini could have something to do with the fast charge rate?

Also, can you give the link for the circuit you are using?
Thanks!
