  • Sry didn't really like Te video a whole lot... Way too much for what you need... Just run it on a few AA with half the size... As for the dude who says 9 volts is too much it's actually the opposite, u need 12 volts to run the car adapter (it has a regulator on it dropping it to either the 5.5 for an iPhone or 3.7 for other phones)

  • shutup spick

  • Really Cool. U R AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is that retarded police mans kid?

  • cool I'm making something like this but with much bigger batteries I will show you guys it when I'm finished.

  • @lewisvz please (if you want) put it as a video response... what type of batteries are you going to use

  • @cameraguy98 I just got a new camera so I will show what I have so far. it's a school project so it's moving slowly but it will be done soon. The batteries are...

one 7Amp 12 volt gel cell deep cycle battery and a 8 amp to go with it. they are going to be hooked up in parallel for 15amps all together it will have a 400watt inverter DC to AC with a USB charger port and a EXT cigarette lighter for powering air compresses and cell phones and charging the unit its self. sorry about rag chewing ..

  • Are you from Earth???

  • dude how bored can ya get?

  • lmao got the parts from radioshack... when you can go to the cell phone shop and buy the correct and legit charger, stupidd

  • how is that an emergency charger if yo have to go and find an electronic shop and buy parts to make something that you can't or carry around with you.

Isnt it mush more sensible to spend whatever money you spend on this to buy a charger? or just batteries and connect them to the phone battery if you are in the wild?

  • @abuladula

it isn't for travel in the wild, it is for at home, and you can use smaller batteries if you want, then it can be carried, and with 8 AA batteries i got 2 full charges (won't turn on to full charge) with an I-touch

  • @cameraguy98

I don't think you understood my point.

Anyway, still a great attempt and I admire your creativity.

You remind me of myself creating electrical gadgets at a young age but you more successfull.

Keep it up, its an excellent skill. =)

  • just did it with 4xAA = 6v.

  • three things. you could have used a 9 volt battery (a lot smaller) ..... you could have used solar cell. ( all the power you could ever get ) or you could have used a 9 volt rechargeable battery with solar cells so u can get never ending power.

  • @kickass465

i thought of using a solar cell, but i didn't have the money... and i had to scrap the battery pack for another project. but as far as the 9v, i don't think that would give you enough volts to charge a phone, even if it did, it wouldn't last for days like i needed it to... though you are welcome to try it

  • @cameraguy98 9 volts is too much to charge a phone with. The batteries you are using are each 1.5 volts, and for those 4 equal 6 volts. Cell phones regularly charge at 3-5 volts. Also, solar cells are pretty inexpensive if you get the cheap kind.

  • no thanks

  • daaahhhhhhhh

how about you buy a new charger instead of cracking your ass

  • ignore the haters, recently i had to make a power pack like this. you an charge the phone overnight at least 100 times on decent energizer d cells. they are running the car charger only on nokia 5100. using the browser means its down to flat every day.

  • WTF ??? What size are those batteries ???

What you gonna charge with that ??? An airplane battery ??? I need charger for camping in field/outdor,not a charger that I need a truch for to move it !!!

  • ahahahahahhahahahahh pa realno xD

Why that big...erm cameraguy98...That is just too big , too much :P

  • you can use any battery size you want... D batteries offer the longest charge and amps, but I'm sure you can use 8 AA batteries, they make a 8 AA battery charger, I'll make a new video. the point of the big batteries is to keep you safe/ occupied during a power outage, not for portability.

  • Bet it will be grat during hurricane season.

  • that's what i made it 4

  • lol advise from a 15 yeat old. Very sad.

  • more like 13

  • im sorry but this is stupid your bringing a thing the size of a car battery but thats just to big just use a crank flash light to charge it

  • if you are referring to the spring in the lighter, then no, any car phone charger should work, but it will drain your batteries quickly if plug something that requires a lot of amps.

  • I'm not understanding your question, are you asking about the overall shape, or the wire coiled at the end of the cigarette lighter?

  • thanks but one question do i have to buy a charger that has a end like in a ligher thing in a car so it will work??????
