You can always get a BYOC phaser! it has the SAME sound as an 1970's MXR P90, I'm not joking! I do have a soft spot for the Boss PH-1r though, that pedal is good :)

I seriously wish I had his imagination in my playing. He's one of the few that can have out there ideas and implement them while keeping enough "normal" guitar licks that it works.

A good example for the phaser when you played that metal bit would be Eruption by Eddie Van Halen. I dont mean the full solo but i mean the bit where he begins tapping, and like phaser here sounds great and adds the perfect touch to the tapping.
