we havent been sitting 2000 years for the americans or mullahs to cause our extinction. any aggression on iran will have serious consequences on the united states. i dont think the world will sit down and wait for united states to make an example of its opponents. i fully disagree with the ideals of the iranian government but u must understand that u.s's future as a superpower is pretty much connected to its foreign policy regarding iran

If we go to war with Iran we will need to do one of two things. Enact the draft or just use a large amount of bombs and just completely destroy the whole country. I wouldn't put it past our president to do either one. The only question left is how are they going to get the peoples support. I don't know if Bush has the credibility for it.

There was something vaguely Helleresque going on there, as if Iran's failure to understand how insane the administration is would be an error on their part, and a cause for the war. And in fact, in an odd twist, perhaps the bush admin is acting crazier than usual, while knowing the impression they are leaving. From a practical standpoint, it seems to me that underestimating the nuttiness of the bush admin could be a very serious mistake.
