  • Sublime, cependant, il y avait aussi Fad Gadget qui a influence beaucoup d'artistes dans ce genre et qui a donne leur chance a Depeche Mode.

  • wtf is conectet with his ass in 1:55 while dancing? :/

  • Find the original record on vinyl, the record lable was Ralph Records. Same as The Residents and many other cool bands back in the day.

  • Why is it nigh on impossible for me to find this version of this song? Every time I find this - even the album - there's always this uber retarded keyboard that shits all over the track at 0:45 and 2:28 making me want to hurl something.

Yello was awesome. And they weren't from England so THAT was a plus. heh.

  • Hahaha Makes me think of the old Art of Noise

  • "You're gonna get me a heart attack." LOVE IT

  • Damn I'm good! and Today is my Birthday!...this song came out when I was a teenager..Nowadays Ive started to listen to more Kraftwerk. Was listening to internet radio, heard The Man Machine by Kraftwerk and remembered this song (who obviously sampled that song) I hadnt heard this song in 20 years! All I could remember was I love you! , try looking for 80s songs I love you. LOL

  • This song ????? << =D

  • Wonderful song, but album version is a bit worse than video clip....

  • I missed these when they first came out. I caught them last night on the Mark Radcliffe show. I was very stoned and they sounded great. From what I have read above they are Swiss and in the programme Mark Radcliffe said from 1983.

  • Boris Blank is a dork in the first degree, but I guess that's kinda cool.

  • Way better than the sad excuse for a song called "Oh yeah". I absolutely love this song and believe there might even be a single of this one around the house somewhere. Good old vinyl times... :D

  • luv this song

  • I cannot think of a better song playing from the car radio at night while I drive through the city in a gin soaked stupor while snorting coke off of a hooker's tits!

    Great fucking song!

  • SO MANY GREAT MEMORIES WOW I LOVE U YELLO

  • I love this song :)

  • I Love This!

  • I discovered Yello in 1985 and followed them for years. They were ahead of their time and their albums are part of my collection. This video, "I love you" seen on MTV was how I was introduced to them. Dark and mysterious, their songs werent meant to be mainsteam but they were succesful anyway.

  • elle sait dire que " I love you" la cruche!!

  • I Love You...Me Too

  • Boris Blank is one of the best electronic composers of our time. No offense to Dieter, but Boris is the heart of Yello's musical sound...you can tell it's him even w/o lyrics.

  • A masterpiece. In a league of it's own. Can't even compare it with most of the trash that is called music these days!

  • Lesson? There ARE options in music.

  • Damn, dark, and awesome synthpop

  • Driving is a serious game

  • So funny this one !

  • Hey, I never noticed that kiss at 2:21 until just now! :O

  • Blank attempts the moonwalk @1:50!

  • Memories of MV3 and Video 1 in Los Angeles.

  • Meier & Blank, pure geniouses!

  • In almost every song they mention driving or cars

  • what the hell is this song about

  • Comment removed

  • @hypopery Fucking, I think

  • simpatici,

    I love You!

  • Love this band!! I had the pleasure of assisting Dieter M one night at the hotel i work at as a bellman back in '95...he couldn't quite manage to open his door so i assisted with that! He was so polite.

  • Is it just me - or is this perhaps THE most innovative "band" of the 1980's? They innovated production and sampling techniques and incorporated them in ways that would not be widely embraced for another decade after the release of their albums. I have really fallen in love with this "band" after NEVER hearing ANY of their work beside the obligatory "Oh Yeah" and deciding to buy one of their albums when I saw it. They are simply AWESOME! I've since bought others... They RULE!

  • @jazzliscious13 they have influenced my taste in music! I have all albums and I am now into trance..still I love the tunes...exceptional..they did edit in those years with tape...remarkable compared to the computers available nowadays.

they are masters with sound, integrating the sound of a train, a light, footsteps in their music.

  • @TranceOnJeroen2 I'm sure they had access to perhaps some of the best samplers on the market in those days too. New England Digital Synclavier, Fairlight CMI, and most assuredly a Emu Emulator. Definitely tape edits but surprisingly there were lots of digital facilities floating around in those days. Example: Donald Fagan recorded The Nightfly digitally in '82. You are definitely correct in your statement "they were masters of sound". I agree fully, they came up with lots of innovative sounds.

  • @jazzliscious13 PLUS ART OF NOISE

  • That Boris Blank is a smokin' dude. Um, what's that attached to his butt?

  • U SEEN OUR VIDEOS YET ?

  • I LOVE this video. One of the best groups of the eighties. Thank you for sharing it.

  • YELLO HITS A NERVE THAT STILL WORKS FOR ME.

I THINK STELLA IS THE BEST ALBUM MADE IN THE 80'S.

  • Fucking fantastic song! Period.

  • '78-80 Fiat Spider coupe. Thats the car to own! I Wanted that car growing up! Thanks for posting this vid.

  • @badbearduke

    That's an Alfa.

  • Cocaine was really big in the 80's... I kinda like it :-D

  • I curse the day when Yello becomes forgotten.

  • @Arinator74 this won´t happen...

  • ♪♫♥ !

  • WOW, no eh visto un grupo mejor que este!, y eso que solo tengo 15 años!

  • This is PURE DYNAMITE! Vive la 80's vive la Yello!

  • These are songs that should be played in amvs

  • Love that awesome stealth cameo by Dieter at 2:20 Hahaaaaa

  • @Harmadi11o You got very sharp vision. I did not even noticed that.

  • Swiss delight!

    V.O.I.D.MK20 (MA)

  • i know! I KNOW!!

  • This is such a great song. Makes me feel happy everytime!! Definitely their best.

  • I wonder why most Yello's videos are epic and strange...

  • I Love Clip

    xD

  • @GAZMIKA спасибо

  • -I I lowe you...

    - I know...dobre

  • If stranded on an island, I'd choose this one song over Eminem's entire repertoire.

    So would you.

  • Brings back memories....love it.

  • I love you Yello song

  • LOVE this song.. probably more than Oh yea

  • I love you 2

  • Was a fan of Yello in the 80's and still like listening to their music.

  • So humorous, and yet so creepy at the same time.. Brilliant stuff!

  • One of my favorite vids and bands ever!

  • Intelligent disco :)

  • I love the blast at 0:15-0:19.

    Yellooooooooooo

  • If I had a dollar for how many times I played this song at parties in 1983-1987, we're talking a small fortune.

  • FRESH AS A DAISY............:-)

  • 01:48 = epic part of the video!

  • I still listen to the cassette. GREAT!

  • stoned memories at high school parties in 84 or so

  • Still luv it.

Yello is the only reason to be proud to be a swiss!

    thx4up

  • @mcaly : and Geiger

  • @klasjkop Da hast du alledings recht! Den H.R. Geiger hab ich ganz vergessen :-)

  • @mcaly And what about chocolate?

  • @mcaly how about Albert Hofmann?

  • @mcaly What about pocket knives?? There's another reason!

  • @mcaly Several reasons to be proud to be Swiss - don't forget Double and Mummenschanz! And as an architect I love Mario Botta.

  • @mcaly not only, there at least two more reasons to be proud to be a swiss: Watches and Chocolates!!!

  • @orkhanify and volvos!

  • she loves me, she really loves me

  • I got into it n 89! HoT!

  • Great lighting/color palette, sexy "geek chic" driver, a sports car and one of the best basslines of the 80s. This video has it all! .

  • Gotta love that moustache. Classic.

  • two best songs this and oh yeah the rest are to different for me to commercial based soundwise didnt help there cause though but they are a under rated band for their time which is sad but people don't forget which is good for our benifit i think dragnet benefited from them as well

  • YELLO JEST SUUUPER, BEZ WYJATKU

  • Es gibt wohl kaum eine "Band" von der mehr Themen in Filmen eingesetzt werden als Yello. Die zwei sind GENIAL.

  • Pure genius ...

  • they are pioneers of syth-pop

  • @cibckwong sith pop for the win

  • I saw this video as a kid and never forgot it. All of a sudden I find it with a simple keyword search. It's well done but sooooo strange.

  • This song is so about boinking it's not even funny.

  • Shut Yuur Gob This Is An Awesome Song!

1985 This Was Made Yuu Cant Diss This For Shit!!!!!!

  • I know this song is awesome. Yello is one of my favorite bands. There is no need to be rude just because you do not understand American slang.

By the way, this song was released in 1983, not 1985. I know because it was the year I started clubbing. And this song is most definitely about boinking.

  • 1983

  • MKBod.... as soon I found this and before saw your comment I thought "1983"

  • to far ahead off there own time ... shame ...

  • simple awesome

  • Yello seemed custom-designed for the MTV age.

  • I love their music videos and humor, all are beyond brilliant! I remember this video from early MTV, thanks for posting!

  • I love you - i know ! best answer ever !

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!

    God I miss the Eighties!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dieser Melkschemel ist einfach das beste

  • The music from Dieter & Boris was fantastic.

  • my favourite song of the group

  • Oh GHOD I love this video.

  • sexy

  • i have the biggest crush on Boris right now.

  • pedeazo de tema y pedazo de video si señor

    5 *****

  • sooooooo goood to hear the "original" album version after such a long time. why they replaced it with those other versions i dont know!!!

  • one of Yello´s best songs

  • i love it..its so retro!

  • My dad had this on beta-max video cassette and I used to watch this when I was a kid. Nowadays I have couple of albums by Yello and very much like them.

Love the 80's BTW, of course!

  • I love Yello!!! Just a very creative swiss techno band!!! Timeless music!!!

  • No, not Swiss, very Germain.Their hasnever been anyone to compare to them Ina League of their own. No Doubt about it!!

  • I love her sunglasses . . .

  • LOL! This vid is a hoot!

  • Who is the girl?

  • It's Boris' wife. She's in the videos for Rubberbandman and The Race, too.

  • I also heard many tracks from Lime (Denis and Denise Lepage) although it was disco-oriented and sounded more like Kraftwerk.

  • Yello is forever and Alfa Romeo the same!

  • I Love It!!!!

  • way ahead of its time.."i love you", "i know" LOL thats great man...yello is some fine music!

  • Excellent- this song still makes me laugh its so crazy and wonderful.

  • those were the '80

  • im new to this music.. can someone recommend any other good artists??

  • it's really a stretch cos yello wer really unique but i suppose devo and abc and wall of voodoo were artistically somewhat in the same ballpark

  • Don't forget The Flying Lizards.

  • Uhm, that's a hard one - Art Of Noise? Maybe some of the later Kraftwerk, like The Mix...

Or Soul Coughing - they are grittier.

Getting way off track - early Talking Heads or later King Crimson like the Discipline album.

    Any other ideas?

  • As others have mentioned, is hard to compare Yello to anyone else. But I think some Eurythmics songs are in the same genre. Specifically "Love is a Stranger", from the Sweet dreams album and "Paint a Rumour" from the Touch album. And maybe some other songs from those albums as well.

  • Where is Bananas?... Have you got it ? ... its one of their best... I reckon.

  • such a baaaaaaaaaaaad ass track and video... i find it sexy in the same way i found it when i was 16,17 (and that's almost 20 years ago). hell yeah, awesome.

  • It still sounds very good!

  • This music video rocks!

  • The use of burps and belches in this song is awesome beyond beliefs!

I've already made a few dozen recordings and put them in videos, they're sounding like 8-bit cause of now slow I made them.

One burp sounds like a hard disk when speeded up, when slowed down, sounds like 2 farts, but at normal speed, sounds like a marble tossed in a small wooden crate.

  • I Love u I Loved you O'yes ..

    I Love Yello :)

  • listen to Yello whilst stoned or on mushrooms. it will be the best night of your life

  • hahah true

  • totally agree

  • Dieter Meiler Boris Blank And Carlos Peron very good band the clip is amazing but the music look like justice or Daft Punk I love it =D

  • No it sounds better and about 1/4 of a century earlier lol

  • hit from the start

  • Boris Blank. What a name!

  • the 7" single was released in 3D Picture Disc /Glasses incl.

  • i love this song!! yeah

  • ...these crazies alwayz reminded me of Sparks!

  • I'm selling all my 1980's dance music. All of it on vinyl. These are all rare club re-mix, or special scratch versions. Very rare stuff, check it out on eBay. calvaryhh

  • anyone have the remix of this? instead of the annoying "i love you" yell, it's more stylised.

  • I HAVE THE 12" EP ON eBAY, VERY RARE

  • I have it on tape as a copy from years ago but forgot what the exact remix name is. if you could tell us please do.

  • Why would you put it on eBay then?

  • This is better than anything MiLK ever said, let alone did.

  • one of stiff records greatest stiffs good though aint it

  • Suddenly I'm in high school again.

  • Songs like this were instrumental in developing my musical preferences. MTV was soooooo good in the early 80's...and they almost recaptured it with the launch of M2 in 1997. Alas, they fucked that up too.

But thankfully we still have these gems.

    *sigh*

  • the 12" of this was realy good

  • It is almost as good as milk!

    keyword Almost!
