Hes needs to learn control but i think he could get there with some practise, but I suppose thats why he doesnt do much studio work & does music stores selling drums to little kids. Hes a drum salesman & video salesman, im know u think its real but heres the he hits the drum which triggers some software to play a note, the softeware can then be quantised to play that note in time if out of time. Why do u think hes has no feel, cos hes trapped by a computer. He never does gigs just drum workshops to gullible kids to sell his crappy products

Most drummers r impressed by speed when they havent got it; it tends to seem magical. Once u get it u soon learn that feel & groove r actually more diff, not more physical but more diff. The tempo at which the "rebound' begins to occur takes the most control & is more diff than playing (most) patterns at a higher speed.
Lang is doin what he likes. You can't hate or dis him for that. It's all relative.
i must agree with u 100 percent. I used to be into Lang when I first started drummin.. It is all about feel and groove. Gotta love Greb and JoJo Mayer. They are def. my favorites
Check out Brian Blade. Some of the most tasteful n musical playing I have heard. Yeah Greb n Jojo have great concern for the music too. Mainly, it takes good ears to make good music. If you hear the diff, then you know it and can work towards it.

Romain Goulon is faster with the single strokes on the feet. That´s all. TLang plays double strokes and paradiddle. But Romain Goulon is a good Metaldrummer too.

Joey is decent, does his job well, but most certainly is not on the level of Lang, Minnemann, Jojo Mayer, Johnny Raab, Terry Bozzio, Neil, Danny Carey, et. al. i love the last part that starts at 4:15 it sounds like when my dad used to work at the printing shop. it has that very mechanical repetition. and he keeps a very steady bpm too which is just as nice. great controll
I don't think living with your parents has anything to do with what you know about music.. I've been playing drums for 14yrs (since I was 10) and know a talented drummer when I hear one. Thomas Lang is one of my inspirations and also in my opinion one of the best drummers out there, better than the slipknot drummer..

thomas just plays the freakiests solos ever, very impressive, but sometimes, when he does these rolls on toms, and snares, whith some doublebass, and crashes, id really like to know where his "1" is. he is a wonder, though, i own his 2 newest dvds, hes just amazing.
Actually,this wasn't in Egg Harnor Township,NJ. If you look at the floor & the color of the kit(EHT was Purple).
But anyway....Thomas is a great drummer,as well as a fantastic human being! We are blessed,in the music community,to have such a grand gentleman show us his skills,plus share some tricks & insite on the music industry!
the kit doesn't need to be miced. every once in awhile it's nice to hear the natural sound of drums without reverb and compression added even though i like those effects lol. i just thought it sounded refreshing in this video.

Unholy shit. It's like there are playing 3 drummers at the same time. He is so advanced with all kinds of techniques...it's not even funny anymore.
He is also one of the few drummers that play a march with the doublebass. On top of that he even accents his kicks.

i love the last part that starts at 4:15 it sounds like when my dad used to work at the printing shop. it has that very mechanical repetition. and he keeps a very steady bpm too which is just as nice. great controll

I don't think living with your parents has anything to do with what you know about music.. I've been playing drums for 14yrs (since I was 10) and know a talented drummer when I hear one. Thomas Lang is one of my inspirations and also in my opinion one of the best drummers out there, better than the slipknot drummer..

thomas just plays the freakiests solos ever, very impressive, but sometimes, when he does these rolls on toms, and snares, whith some doublebass, and crashes, id really like to know where his "1" is. he is a wonder, though, i own his 2 newest dvds, hes just amazing.

Actually,this wasn't in Egg Harnor Township,NJ. If you look at the floor & the color of the kit(EHT was Purple).
But anyway....Thomas is a great drummer,as well as a fantastic human being! We are blessed,in the music community,to have such a grand gentleman show us his skills,plus share some tricks & insite on the music industry!

the kit doesn't need to be miced. every once in awhile it's nice to hear the natural sound of drums without reverb and compression added even though i like those effects lol. i just thought it sounded refreshing in this video.
