  • これは貴重な古い絵だ、ジョンがクラシックとロックで壮大な夢を持っていた頃の貴重な絵でした。

  • I really love this solo of his. More than three minutes of six-string perfection. The biggest crime Deep Purple did was to not give the man enough space to highlight his talent, especially in the studio recordings.

This video show why he's one of Rock's greatest guitarists.

  • Look how bored the orchestra looks LOL

  • toca bn vergas!!!!!!!

  • 1:40 Lol

  • Joey Ramone on drums)

  • Richie Blackmore is amazing.

  • You just can't fuck with Deep Purple or Ritchie Blackmore man

  • And he critcized Hendrix and SRV? Must have been out of sheer jealousy.

  • @bluesgolfer ???

  • Got damn! That solo :)

  • 1:26 MALCOLM IS LIKE"ITS NOT ON THE SCORE?1?"

  • If only it was longer. :(

  • Why are the showcasing the other members of the band and not Ritchie? He's blowing the pants off of people and he's not even being showcased.

  • The first thing Purple did after the MRK1 break up.

I really love the progressive Mrk1 Deep Purple, amazing stuff.

  • Deep Purple + orchestra = ya, we really dont need the orchestra

  • the man that moves more than the others, gets fatter than the others...(Ian Paice)

  • Just great !

  • one of my all time Ritchie solos thanks for sharing

  • The playing is great but, he just doesn't look right without his stratocaster...

  • Jimmy Page + Richie Blackmore=Guitar gods

  • I can't hear the keyboard ><

  • Joe Ramone in Drums ? kkk ^^

  • @Demmettreus no.

    it's actually ian paice

  • @da66661 I know ...(Sarcasmo).

  • Genius!!!!!

  • OMG thats a fucking good solo

  • one of my favorite guitar solos!!!

  • Look at those classical musicians sitting there wondering why they have to endure this crap.

  • @egyptian3rdeye They're thinking about when they first began playing an instrument and sounded like this.

  • Is it just me or this guitar has nothing to do with Ritchie's playing style? Thank god he bought a Strat, haha

  • @tiozenopoder he played a lot faster on this than the strat though very different solo's but if you want to watch him really show off his skill, these guitars are better

  • @frazerpmobrien I agree

  • @tiozenopoder No, he sounds better on a Gibson

  • @tiozenopoder I don't know man, I play a strat almost religiously, but I have a semi hollow body like the one that he's playing, and it is one of the few other guitars that I feel instantly comfortable on.

  • @Spahgeet Well, as a bassist, I think any guitar is very confortable and soft ^^

I was just saying that is very strange to see Richie playing like if fire would start from it, using a guitar who looks more suitable to a sweet song and stuff

  • @tiozenopoder Yeah, that is what's cool about some of those semi hollow bodies. They can surprise you with their aggressive tones sometimes. Clapton used to play one in cream when he wasn't playing his SG. Check out Claptons solo in the video of him playing yer blues with John Lennon.

  • @Spahgeet Yay, just did it (watch the video) and yeah, you're right. Great sound!

  • @tiozenopoder still sounded fucking awesome none the less

  • this bass line will drive me crazy!!

  • The Master at work

  • 0:06 see how ritchie breaks gillan's ego in this.. he says it's me who is the artist!

  • Nice to see Slash on the drums...

  • @xPORTERLOOx rofl he aint slash and if you see his face he looks nothin like him

  • amazing solo, fantastic guitar player. people nobody can say clearly who is the best guitarist in the world... technically there are some extremely fast ones like Satriani, Vai, Petruchi and more but when it comes in writing songs, you cant tell them apart. If it isnt about writing music then what is it good for? Absolutely nothin :P

  • @TheIzzyGuy In my opinion, the best, or my favourite is David Gilmour, for the fact that so much emotion is put into his playing; he's such a lovely man and he's also part of my favourite band, Pink Floyd!

  • ritchie blackmore is one of the greatest guitar players in rock history but i dont know what the fucks happened to him i bought one of his blackmores night dvds and it sucked bad he never plays the electric guitar and hes got his mrs singing what happened to the days of deep purple and rainbow hope he wakes up because the world of rock music still need his genius and by the way ronnie dio was a legend best singer blackmore ever had RIP m8

  • Nooooo...Ratings have been disabled for this video Dx

  • Increible Ritche un Dios

  • INCREDIBLE SO SIMPLE!

  • Ritchie is good, very good.. but I hear the same kind of notes and tecnique in almost all the 3 mins lol.. He shoulnd't be the considered as 1 of the best guitarrist of all the times, his BAND is, but he is not.If a fool comes to tell me that I cant hear anything then i'll say that is wrong, I know what Im saying, pretty well.. Fans will try to kill me, good luck with that lmao

  • @matileo19 One quote: It's just a rythm-play from Blackmore. He just stay on the same notes for 3 minutes, but try to listen to the rhythm formula. You should try to play that and after one will reconsider what you said.

  • i have this on video.but can"not play it any more.due to lack of vcr.it was very interesting to watch what with the hibrow audiance mixed with the deep purple fans.great jam sesson ...

  • 1:37 i would do the same thing

  • @33COOLMAN33 is very the best or not ?

  • Which Guitar note scales is Ritchie using??

  • @TheMusicchannel23 He used mainly pentatonic and blues like most guitarists from that period, but he also liked the Hungarian Minor

  • Almost no shots of Richie. Horrible camera direction!!

  • @cdfox85

    lol true

  • The guys in the orchestra are loving it!

  • did someone here mention that DP is not in the RRHOF that's unbee-leev-a-BULL

I thought it was bad enough that the Doobies,Chicago, Grand Funk, & many others are not honored,

but this may take it all to a new level..what's wrong w/ those people??

  • What a rare site. Ritchie is using a Gibson.

  • Ritchie,der King.

  • Wow, Ive found some music to listen to

  • Blackmore > GOD

  • Ritchie Blackmore is god...

  • The Rock N' Roll of fame refuses to even mention Deep Purple for nomination. It's because Ricthie won't kiss there music industry asses! Psssh, little do they know the fans are the ones that call the shoots and decide on our own Rock N' Roll heroes!

  • Good to see the brother letting it all hang out.

  • Ritchie Blackmore is BETTER than Jimi Hendrix!!

  • Fucking epic. I wonder how many people quit playing their violins to take up guitar.

  • If there are three things in this world that has surely earnt their place in heaven, then they're Fred Astaire's Feet, William Shakespeare's right hand and Ritchie Blackmore's guitar playing. He is the best that there ever was or ever will be. People always harp on about the holy trinity of British Guitarists as being Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. In the real world, Blackmore knocks spots off them all.

  • fine, diss the camera man. i still think he did a good job.

lets just agree that, as far as audio goes, this is some good music.

  • @barba666ruiva

It's very good music..can't argue with that, but for the camera man to more or less ignore the soloist is NOT doing a good job.

  • all hail the king of rock!

  • Blackmore suxx! playing the same potion for about 90% of this clip and a pent position at that. He blows , the conductor was probably like this guy is a complete idoit.

  • Ritchie was one of the few guitarists who could improvise on guitar along three hours and never get boaring.

  • totally stands the test of time here as good as anybody who has come along since. long live blackmore.....

  • that tone is bad ass!!

  • If i think the Rolling Stone's magazine considers Duane Allman or Slash so much better than this man...well: i start to laugh like a fool now until tomorrow

  • Love it!

  • toca bien perro ese wey

  • goodbye Beethoven

  • make thAt like 1352:)

  • KING!

  • at 1:50 there's a man who found the beat.

  • God of Guitar is Ritchie Blackmore !

  • Im cuming!!

  • Shit!!! This is really good solo

  • such a groovy vibe man

  • Davon hätte ich gern das komplette Konzert!

  • @Shajen44 Das Konzert ist auf DVD erhältlich

  • Einfach Geil!

  • Гениально.

  • He is fenomenal !

  • The guy is about as good as they come. Innate timing, fluidity, total originality

  • 1:38 the first headbanging on the History

  • Happy Birthday Ritchie!!!

  • hey, he was using gibson.. :D

  • The dude's playing withstands the test of time.

  • To me Blackmore never played better, I am drunk and high at this moment, but not that drunk and high ! good for you Richie !

  • T´he LP Concertro For Group & Orchestra is the best they ever made, the best that anybody ever made

  • at 2.26 the conducter is trying to figure out WTF is going on..where is this in the score...why did they not brief me..Oh man .. I hate my job..Who TF is this guitar player....and why is he screwing with me..I never had sooo much free time while conducting nor have I ever been sooo confused.WTF..look at my boys. they dont understand a thing....nor do I..i hope it does not show..25 years of studying music and I'm still confused...got to have this guy to give a seminar at the RPO's next meeting..

  • @MICHAELDEVINE100 That is hilarious Michael! Thanks for making me chuckle, lol!

  • @MICHAELDEVINE100 LOLLLLL.... he was actually looking unemployed whenever the camera went on him. your observations are very witty. but his 'boys'.... actually seem to be enjoying the madness....

  • @MICHAELDEVINE100 The only ones who know what's happening is DP and the crowd... Every1 else is like - duhhhhhhh lol

  • at 2.26 the conducter is trying to figure out WTF is going on... where is this in the score...why did they not brief me....Oh man .. I hate my job.... Who TF is this guitar player....and why is he screwing with me.....I hate my job.....

  • WTF joey ramone plays the drums? XO!!!!

  • Improv at it's finest. How do you do all that and keep the timing spot on. Unbelievable.

  • @orange70383 Improv is not that diffucult, nor is it diffucult to improv on time.

  • Is this great or what? Love the maestro's frustration and confusion. Ha! At this stage, Blackmore knows more than all the other classically trained folks will ever know.

  • that Vox AC30 Ritchie is playing through must have taken some stick that night

  • So much!

  • Richie go Richie! Blackmore is GOD!

  • way to show everyone but Ritchie, worst camera man ever

  • @jeffscardo I actually thought the camera guy was pretty fair in showing all the excellent musicians in the band, not just the soloist. in the led zep videos for example, you barely catch a glimpse of jonesy and bonham... just plant n page waggin and jumpin around all the time.

  • @barba666ruiva

Thje camera man was an idiot..it's a guitar solo....the others are just backing him...focus on the guitar player ffs.

  • @QueenReigns1 ¨just backing¨? have you even listened to this properly?

  • @barba666ruiva

I have this on DVD and yes I have listened and watched many times, this is essentially a guitar solo...the clue is in the title...therefore the rest of the band are backing him.

And the camera man is still an idiot.

  • @jeffscardo exactly my thoughts!

  • @jeffscardo agreed, we want to see Ritchie play!

  • Ritchie Blackmore was second to none. Some guitarist may be techically better than Blackmore, but they all have one thing in common. They all sound like crap compared to Blackmore.

  • It´s fun to see all those old farts in the orchestra wondering what´s going on and waiting for tea time. Blackmore really shines in this passage.

  • See that's the thing, I don't think he is. I think he is a bit of joke musically and his arrogant attitude doesn't help either. He had unreal potential in 1983 and was totally unique but he's still doing the same thing and its tiring in 2011. Music and musicians evolve in time but Malmsteen unfortunately never lived up to his potential imho

  • 1:40 -> looks like he really enjoyed it...first headbang ever??

  • I really cant understand this Malmsteen comparison, Blackmore is lightyears ahead of any of these so called shredders. They are one dimensional players who fly up and down scales and arpeggios, Blackmore can play anything, and always with feel, time and soul

  • @jamesm5744

Blackmore is a legend but please do not let that take anything away from Yngwie. He is a legend in his own time.

  • Without Richie, there would be no Metal.

  • is this točak from serbia : >

  • When this album was released as an LP I bought it and heard it almost every day.

  • @PeterK136

    I envy you brother.

  • What a boring solo! Like 3rd-rate version of Cream with not even an ounce of Clapton's soul or sweet guitar tone. & man does that bass player suck ! Not a hair on Jack Bruce's ass. As far as technique Steve Howe, Steve Hacket, Uli Roth, Michael Schenker & Tommy Bolin all wipe the floor with this toupe-wearing medieval-renaissance-fair clown. Yngwie has very little soul but when he first came out with Alcatrazz he was so many million times technically better than Blackmore it was hilarious!

  • @metamorphosis67 But the thing is, Ritchie was before Malmsteen and Roth. They both site Blackmore as a big influence. Perhaps they are technically better players but they can't write riffs as well as Ritchie. Let's see Malmsteen write a riff like Smoke On The Water or Man On The Silver Mountain or a solo like the ones in Highway Star and Burn or even the epic masterpiece that is Stargazer. Don't get me wrong, Malmsteen is one of my favorite players but Blackmore was first.

  • @metamorphosis67 Malmsteen couldn't get away with such a clean tone as Blackmore's, he (YM) relies on fizzy stomp-boxes. Even when Malmsteen turns down to a cleaner sound (rarely) he sounds like he's brushing the strings with the pick and winding his wrist up with tension. No clarity. And only Blackmore moves through the medium-tempos between fast and slow so smoothly. No other rock player does that.

  • @sludgefingers

Malmsteen is extremely clean. What the fuck are you talking about.

  • #55 greatest guitarist of all time

  • @FyreTiger2K He deserve a better place than so

  • this guy is the best and fyi hes not underrated!!

  • 1:55, One of the Horn players seems to like the solo

  • the best of the best ever

  • You see in 1:26 that the conductor is confused and browses notes, because Ritchie did not play what the notes showed, he really did a whole new solo!

  • Ritchie's phrasing ceases to amaze me...unlike most of the guitarists of this time he didnt stick to pentatonic scales and I might go out on a limb to say that this is the man who pioneered the use of other scales and classical music into popular music

  • friggin' AWESOME !

  • hard case, all these old boffons standing around like members of the aristocracy lol

  • !!!! QUE MAGISTRAL, QUE TONADA, TE LLEVA A LA ESENCIA DE LA MUSICA ¡¡¡¡

RITCHIE BLACKMORE CONCIDERADO COMO UNO DE LOS MEJORES GUITARRISTAS DEL MUNDO.

  • The First Time This Was Done I believe, I mean Orchestra and Rock and Roll And You can see the Audience is Tripping the F*** Out, Beethoven Meets Purple. Amazing how the Classical Musicians Examine how The Rockers Play.

  • bad posture :))))

  • best of the beasts.

  • Everyone prases jimmi hendrix, mostly because he was the first one to play guitar like he did, but man, ritchie was the first and one of the best still..

  • ritchie's a badass muthafucker! BOY! WWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

  • I love the BIG smile on the violinists face at 1:33 ~ EVEN classical orchestral guys LOVE Ritchie - he is a LEGEND! ;-)

  • This man influenced me to nag my dad to buy me a guitar, and now i have hundreds.

  • @StephenFiorentini

But did your dad say, " you'd better learn to play it properly or I'll hit you round the head with it "?

    Ritchie's did.

  • @QueenReigns1 Nah, dad just said 'you wanna play the guitar? well theres a guitar, now get on with it' My family are all self taught musicians, so theres no lessons, just the instrument, then the rest is up to you. Did he? what a nice thing for a dad to say.

  • what was wrong with the 41 people who disliked this?

  • woah...

  • the great great THE

  • This is great, I don't know why people say that he is "underrated" though. He has graced the cover of every reputable guitar magazine, and every hard rock player knows who he is. He is Ritchie Blackmore for Christ sakes !!!!

  • @bigrigJim People know who he is, but he is rarely mentioned in a Top 10 or whatever. You get the guys like Hendrix, Clapton, Page etc. Jeff Beck gets overlooked sometimes too whisch is ridiculous as I think he is the best ever. But commericially the others have done better & that is probably why.

  • @bigrigJim If Ritchie Blackmore had the notoriety that Jimi Hendrix or (Dare I say it) Eddie Van halen has, He would finally have his due. Blackmore doesn`t even make the top ten in many polls of great guitar players. Nobody sounds as good as Blackmore. Techically maybe somebody else might be better than Ritchie, I doubt it.

Who the hell is Eddie Van Halen, next to Ritchie Blackmore ? Blackmore blows them all away.

  • @oberfour in polls wich are only voted from guitar players he is very often in the top five - and most of the modern rock guitar heroes are influenced by blackmore. malmsteen, u.j.roth,etc. classical influence, speed, classic scales and proggressions - ritchie was first!

  • @malmsteenfan Uli Roth from the Scorpions early days is also underrated.. I love Polar Nights from their Toyko Tapes album. Your from Germany ? Here in The USA most people only think of Smoke On The Water when the Deep Purple name comes up. Ritchie Blackmore is underrated, here everyone knows who Jimmy Page is.

  • @oberfour I agree, Uli is awesome! Polar Nights from Tokyo Tapes is my favourite track from that live album. Very Hendrix influenced IMO.

  • FUCKING AWSOME \,,/ !!!
