  • Very beautiful!

  • Hm, why dont they sing the second aka third verse? Its anyway such a short song and they leave one third out.

  • @schattensand My choir is doing this song for our spring Concert. We're doing the Second Verse.

  • Excellent Rendition!

  • Absolutely beautiful - enjoyed

  • Very nice, but I just want to know how that girl was able to walk in sand with high heels! 1:32.

  • Long Live the Moscow Male Jewish Cappella, Long live the Jewish people, Israel and those who bless us. This is the best presentation of this song that I have heard in my life, God Bless you all!

  • I've heard many choirs doing this song...dozens of them...but NONE...and I mean NONE of them can compare to this..NOT EVEN CLOSE...

  • wow!! there is much beauty in this presentation. As usual the Moscow Jewish Cappella is beyond excellent. They have so many great soloists - the analog is of course the cycle of life, from roses to people, the waters renew the clouds that share their wealth so as to continue God's never ending Creation. the singing amplifies the message. haShem is always present and treasures his people as they treasure him. Yes, this is what I see in 3 minutes. Thank you all. Kindest always.

  • On this day of sad commemoration (27 January), I send my best regards to all the Jews of the world!

  • beautiful beyond words, this moves me - it touches my soul. many thanks for sharing.

  • Hey! I think it is the most romantic song I've ever heard....

It's so romantic and pure... for my understanding... that I can almost imaging I'll listen this song the very moment I meet the man of my life!!!!!!!

  • c 'est trop beau !!

mael ,9 ans et française. Je sais également le jouer à la clarinette.

  • EVENING OF ROSES Evening of roses Let's go out to the grove Myrrh, perfumes, and incense Are a threshold at your feet. The night falls slowly A breeze of roses blows Let me whisper a song to you quietly A song of love. At dawn, a dove is cooing Your hair is filled with dew Your lips to the morning are like a rose I'll pick it for myself.
  • this is one of my favorite song:)

  • I love this. Beautiful!

  • There is even Yugoslavian version of this song!!!

I can't believe how much is this song popular!

The Partizan Football Club has adopted melody of this song in "Fudbalski to je Hram" song.

Try looking at this melody looks when 20000 people sings it!

  • I've heard dozens of versions of this song. This rendition is simply exquisite. I love the arrangement and, of course, the glorious voices.

  • Does anyone know what the lead tenor (and most of the chorus, later) is singing as a kind of chant or refrain? It's not the song's lyrics; it sounds to me like "la-da-di-da-di-dah" (but it can't be).

    Thanks.

  • By the way, the lyrics (transliterated) are as follows:

    Erev shel shoshanim

    Netse na el habustan

    Mor beh-sa-min u-le-vo-nah

Le-ra-gle-cha mift-an Laylah yored le'aht Veruach shoshan noshvah Havah elchash lach shir bal'at Zemer shel 'ahavah

    Shachar homah yonah

    Ro'shech ma'alei tlalim

    Pich el haboker shoshanah

    Ektefennu li.
