@momentofsciencetx Cool, DGAP and competitive are two totally different beasts. First off start running 6 miles as soon as you can. This race is 6.3 miles so get used to the distance. You wanna be light for the race. I'm running in basketball shorts, under armor shirt and vibram 5 finger toe shoes. Also, get yourself a camelback and fill it 1/2 to 3/4 full of water and freeze it. There are water tables every mile, but trust me you'll be thristy before that. Bring it to race with.
@radioahole Yeah I have been running and plan to buy a pair of the 5 finger toe shoes. I have a camelback that I use for mountain biking. Thanks for the advice and good luck.
