just want to ask is there any way to turn the yaesu ft 707 to 10watts? my callsign is M3SNV names stephen QTH is brekfield liverpool england I have had one of the YAESU FT-707's since 2001 I have used the radio and can just about manage to get 10watts out but it's very hard to maintain that level of power also I'm upgradeing next week to the YAESU FT 897D but I'm defenately keeping hold of my 707 I'm very attached to it and think it's a fantastic looking radio and works well on all hf freqencys.
Good vid! I have a 707 myself. Do you know how to connect the 707 to key a linear amplifier? I have an older Bandit 2000c linear with an outboard keying circuit built that needs a ground set to it whenever the 707 goes to transmit. Is there a pin on the ACC that will supply a ground on transmit?

I have had the similar Sommerkamp 767 (it is in fact the same radio albeit fitted with a CW filter from new) for many years.
These are reliable and robust radios, I trust the new owner of this one enjoys it.

"Whistle test"??????????
You're an extra class operator...
and you're video taping yourself making a completely illegal transmission like a "whistle test"?
wow....
aren't you supposed to say "10-4 good buddy" after you do a "whistle test? lol
