Fuuuuckkk me, that thing is over-engineered. Couldn't they have spent an extra 50 or 100 million more and just built a new stadium? Ppl don't always do that wisest things huh
It doesn't rain every day. The city gets more than its share, but to say it rains every day is simply wrong. On average, Vancouver has 170 days of precipitation per year. Toronto averages 145.
Why in the world would they build a retractable roof in Vancouver!? No offense, but it's pointless, it rains every day out there, and even if it does have time to retract between rainfalls, you will just have to close it in about ten minutes anyway.
@jazu40 I use to live in B.C. and I remember that we were lucky to go a day with out rain. I mean all the power to them, it seems like a nice idea. I guess we will see how much the roof is open when it's up and going I guess.
@jasonscfr I live here for a long time now. I have no complaints about the weather. Of-course we have rains sometimes, but at the same times other provinces have -20C, lot of snow and iced roads. We have snow in the mountains only. It works for me because I'm skier. You said you lived in BC, but where exactly? Weather differs from place to place.
@jazu40 I lived in Abbotsford. When I lived there, We happened to get over three feet of snow the one year I lived there. I was amazed when they canceled school when we had a small layer of snow on the ground. Stuff like that in Saskatchewan or even the rest of Canada is a nothing. We go about our day like always.
So who paid for it? How much? If the Canucks don't win the Stanley Cup this year, nothing else matters.
